Do you crutch on any perks?
I never leave home without Iron Will because if spirit paranoia and I feel naked without pop goes the weasel, these are definitely my crutch perks, what’s yours?

I love Bond.

I also try to use Iron Will whenever possible. I'm only willing to take it off if I'm doing quick farm runs during a double BP weekend with WGLF. I don't have any killer must-use perks, unless you count BBQ, but I use that for the bloodpoints and would take it off if it didn't give those.

Bond. The information it gives me helps me save lives, including my own.
2 -
I love running Iron will, Vigil, Dead Hard and DS on my jake :)
2 -
I love Empathy, it lets me watch chases.
As killer, I've been crutching on Distressing and Beast of Prey; they allow me to half-ass playing killer and still max out at least two categories of BP. I wish there was a perk that increased the rate at which Brutality points were earned.

Whispers/Borrowed time, both OP.

I get hard carried by adrenaline, ds and balanced. On killer I feel lost without my BBQ

Whispers and Bond. Although I HAVE gone without these perks, I definitely prefer not to.
1 -
On hag I think I crutch on the monitor and abuse/nurses calling combo
But in general my crutch is monstrous shrine :)
1 -
Way to spoil everyone’s fun with your op crutch, montrous shrine.

Bond, Self Care, Iron Will or WGLF.
Literally i get a slight paranoia whenever i have to/use something diffrent

I feel like a completely blind bat that forgot how to use echolocation without Bond, so that's my answer.

I always run my trip of bbq, pop, and ruin..though..I wanna experiment with thana and new dying light , itll likely just frustrate me but..I'm hoping dying light gets beefed a bit so I can finally move on to a more fun way to earn my gen slowdowns
On survivor..love my botany knowledge..but..I'll be making an immortality build upon the next patch lol

Head On surprisingly. It's really fun and buys some time if used correctly in a chase :)

I barely play killer without my bbq
For survivor prove thyself and wglf are a must for me
I like bloodpoints

I'm not sure what a crutch is
But judging from what I read I'd say that I almost always use STBFL

Dead hard for survivor so I gave it up
Pop for killer but is it really a crutch?

86% of Killers at R1 crutch on Ruin in my last 50 games (43/50)
70% crutch on BBQ and Chili (35/50).
Personally, Small Game has become a staple in my perk set since I came back to DBD. Ruin gets spammed every single match, and the faster it’s gone the better off chances of surviving are.

I really don't like taking off Barbecue & Chili anymore.
I want to hunt, so sticking around the Hook just isn't an option.
The extra BP is just a nice bonus.

Survivor:
DS, didnt think that I will have to use it that frequently, but after one evening where I used BP Offerings from two characters without DS, I got tunneled every time with them. Killer knew after the first Hook that I dont have DS, so I got tunneled after the second Hook. Since then, I only play Survivors with DS.
Kiiler:
Probably Whispers. Whenever I play a Killer where I dont have Tier 3 Whispers (and not using Whispers then when I dont have it on Tier 3), I get a little bit lost.

Bond and Iron Will are my crutches as survivor, they are just so much useful as a solo survivor.
As killer I'd say BBQ, I like hooking a survivor and knowing exactly what to do next instead of having to guess (I'm lazy I know), plus the tons of BPs...

Quick & Quiet for me, it's my current favourite perk and I totally rely on it.
1 -
Agitation. I never think about the hooks I use and the speed boost helps a tonne.
0 -
I actually require enduring spirit fury, I become scared without it
0 -
I tend to rely on Self Care + Botany nowadays. My looping game is absurdly awful so instead I rely on the faster heals to try and tank the damage.
I main Quentin though, so I always have medkits. I'm not a loon that just runs SC with BK and calls it a day.

i run stake out because im horrible at getting great skill checks and this helps me not screw it up. if only i could level it up past tier 1 on my level 34 Tapp!
0 -
Probably lithe to get some distances in chases
0 -
I rely on NM it's weird but when I don't use it I tend to play differently and the play style I apply when I am using NM seems to work really well. Pretty weird. My only other crutch would be Dance With Me+ Lithe a new perk synergy I have been using more often.

I feel uncomfortable without adrenaline and dead hard

playing without spine chill feels like playing blindfolded.

BBQ or DS.

Survivor side, I can't stand to play without Iron Will. It doesn't even feel like a crutch, it's more that it enables options that simply don't exist with any other perk because any good killer can find an injured survivor.
As killer, I've almost never played without PGtW since Clown was added. I find it WAY more useful than Ruin and the recent buff was just insane QoL for me. I always run BBQ if I have it, but I'm fine playing as killer without it, as it's more about the double points for me.

Decisive Strike, it's just too powerful and saves me countless games. The perk doesn't even have any downsides besides becoming the killer's Obsession. :)
1 -
Self Care because teammates are unreliable.
Hex: Ruin because generators.
0 -
Alert and bond
0 -
Empathy to pinpoint chases and Distortion because EVERY killer runs BBQ.
0 -
Unless they have Rancor or RM, the obsession status is an upside.

People whine about self care, but boy howdy is it a godsend as a solo.
I feel naked without ds and bt tbh. If I take either off, I immediately feel the sting afterwards. Lately, pretty much my builds have been sc/bt/ds/perk du jour. Although now I’m running a Pirate Santa build.
As for killer, there’s not really a single perk I’m married to. BBQ is nice. I guess Lightborn is probably the closest - I see flashlights and I would rather equip that if I had it.

I have no empathy for anyone who uses no mither.

I've actually been trying to play without running super good perks. My build's been using perks like Plunderer's, Ace in the Hole, WGLF, and some perks that are only good in certain situations (BT, Unbreakable, ect...). I've been avoiding Decisive and exhaustion perks aside from head on so that I can become a good baseline survivor

In for the grind, so BBQ and wglf all the way!
Otherwise, due to colorblindness, I'm lost without bloodhound!

I like Spirit Fury/Enduring combo.
