Huge uptick in killer DCs since I've hit red ranks again
I wasn't playing survivor often or consistently enough to stay in the red ranks in the past few months but ever since I've gotten back there killer DCs have increased hugely. There were of course the occasional DC in the purple and green ranks but now it's probably 1 out of every 10-15 games. It's pretty frustrating because I consistently lose my item and any earned BP even though it was supposed to have been fixed. Add that to long queue times and lobby dodging and I only get to play a couple decent games per hour.
Killer DCs have outnumbered survivor DCs at this point. Is this the experience of anyone else?

You should continue to expect that as long as gen speed is unbalanced.
I guess i've been lucky. I haven't had a killer dc on me in a long time at red.

It's funny, around here if killers DC it's because the game is imbalanced against them. If survivors DC it's because they're entitled and need to get gud.

Sadly its not only humor. Some people here say that they DC on certain Maps. Like.. Complaining about Survivor DCs because they dont get their precious BBQ-Stacks (which will be fixed in the Future), but DCIng on their own.

I dont notice more of them. It is quite rare, I would say maybe 1 time in 50 games for me. But since I might depip and maybe lose all my BP I gained during that Match, it still pisses me off.

I don't know any killer whom dcs and its found to be very funny by those of us with legitimate experiance..I have seen more killer dcs lately but mainly at lower ranks

They have one thing in common and I hate to be the person who says this, but they are both sore losers. If you're going to lose, take it in like a champ, ya know? Losing is apart of games, no one will win every game.
Even I was guilty with this because it's so aggravating to get stomped. :(

Not really, Survivors will always DC more than me.

I actually experienced the game crashing 3x last night. Each time I sent the error report to BHVR but I have never had the game crash (freeze, then completely close and have the error report pop up).
I am pretty sure it counts as a dc because one of the matches was at the end and I lost all bloodlines and credit toward daily.
Maybe others are having this issue too.

I've seen a bunch of dc's on maps like Ormond farm maps and haddonfield

Its random, it all depends if you get a wave of DCers in a row or not.
They're more prevalent during the night and morning around 1AM EST time.

Basically, its been that way always even when I first starting playing.
The more toxic players usually play around that time for some reason also, I guess the lack of sleep breeds toxicity, or it could just be that most toxic players love playing in a shroud of darkness.

Well as the matchmaking is screwed I'm a level 8 playing with rank 2 and 3 lol and pretty much each time there are 4 DS 😂

If you're getting 1 out of every 10 to 15 games then you've come nowhere close to the amount of survivor dcing. Honestly, you're doing pretty much just slightly above average if not just average in terms of killer dcs.

Not in my experience. I've been getting about the same in survivor DCs. The difference is one survivor DC doesn't ruin/end a game. And they generally have DC'd when they were tunneled and about to be put on their last hook. They might as well just finish their game at that point but whatever lol

You've had a blessed three years then to not have suddenly dropping to a three man put the killer in a much more favorable spot. Or only have survivors dc because they got tunneled, which is no excuse. Survivors dropping out of games happens much more often whether it be by choice or connection failure.

I'm specifically talking about since I've hit red ranks again this week. This has been my experience. If you've got some kind of official DC statistics I can look at, let me know, otherwise we're both just speaking anecdotally and there's really no room for debate.
And I said a survivor DCing does not necessarily end or ruin a game, not that it doesn't help the killer.

I don't dc as killer even when two OoO are going against my pig. Never noticed too much killer dc's as survivor tho.

I don't see too much DC's anymore, the epidemic is now just slight occurrence, I've seen people DC at the end of their death animation on their last hook, why would you ever do that? STUPID.
I had a few Survivors DC just upon seeing I was playing Plague.

I’ve seen killers dc for getting outplayed during a chase.

Well yeah. it's not really that much fun for the killer when 3 gens pop 40 seconds in because they didn't choose one of the unholy 3 (nurse, spirit, hilbilly). Gens are currently unbalanced. to deny that is to deny reality. It's frustrating as hell so killers dc because of it. And I don't blame them.
I also didn't say it was the only reason, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Lmao that’s not gens being unbalanced that’s a bad killer not able to chase someone or learn how to break chase at strong loops and properly patrol gens.
I do blame them. There is a big difference between when someone knows how to run a loop and when they don’t. OR when 4 survivors have brought boxes but don’t even bother to check gens. Gens aren’t going to patrol themselves.
This isn’t a new concept. Even newbie killers understand this.

Uh...no. Gens are unbalanced. it can't be denied. Play red ranks on both sides to get real perspective. All you did in your reply was tell me that you're inexperienced, and don't understand the game.

"Break chase at strong loops" he says. What do you do when you load into a map where 80-90% of the pallets are safe if you have a brain, a god window has spawned, and there's plenty of infinites to be had with balanced landing? Oh and hey, someone spawned on your ruin.
Go on a chase longer than a minute? Lose 3 gens. "Noob killer ez".
Break the chase it took you maybe 30-40 seconds to get into, waste another 30-40 seconds finding the next chase, and then get into another chase just to repeat the exact same process?
There is a reason you only really see a handful of killers played at the red ranks. The m1 killers can't really deal with the gen rushing unless you are using crutches or hardcore camping / tunneling.

Then wouldn't that mean the m1 killers are unbalanced and not the gens? I mean, if Nurse, Spirit, and Billy are doing just fine when the gen speed is too fast then that would mean the other killers just aren't good enough.

FYI I do play both sides. I provide perspective on BOTH sides. I don’t deny that sometimes gens do go by fast BUT Many times it’s my own fault and it’s not in every single match.
You call me inexperienced but you don’t even know what I’m talking about when I say you need to patrol gens.

You’re doing exactly what many do in these forums. Which is present a very specific scenario which isn’t guaranteed to go that way 100% of the time.
Oh I can do that too. What about when your ruin is well hidden, when the gens are clumped together, and when (this is the best one) Your teammates have a degree in playing Immerse and therefore no one is touching gens?
It’s very easy to blame the other side and I’ve seen immerse people in red ranks as well. They aren’t all top notch skilled players.

Devs just have to balance it for 4 kills average. After all, survivors are not "entitled to an escape" 💀then killer players wonder why 10 min ques.
