Ps4 performance
Has anyone else noticed a significant drop in performance on ps4? My frame rate has dropped significantly to the point where it is almost unplayable and the menus seem laggier than ever. Also the game has now crashed twice which has never happened before. I’m playing on a ps4 Pro btw so the fact that this game runs so poorly is kind of sad tbh as it’s obviously not that graphically demanding.

I just got and loading into match now... I'll come back to this thread as soon as I see how the game performs.

i’ve had multiple crashes and errors aswell on ps4 today, the waiting time for survivors are ridiculous right now and even worse than before the patch launched for some reason.
i’m also seeing no progress on the matchmaking as i’m still being matched with some rank 15-16, i’m currently rank 9.

After 1 match.... I haven't had any issues... from matchmaking to performance... I went against a wraith on wretched shop and the match played perfectly...

I mean...mine was fine.
The only problem was playing on hawkins and having no idea where anything was at any point

Yes. Framerate on the new map is atrocious. Feels like it runs at 15 fps and even less when stepping into the *organic matter stuff everywhere* room or whatever the name is. Got that nightmare of a labyrinth for 4 straight matches and on the 4th I DC'ed for the first time EVER playing killer.
I also played at least five matches on the springwood maps and they have real poor framerate. Non-playable quality, really. It was bad, but now it's worse.
Ormond and Haddonfield have been bad from the beginning, too.
Hard to argue against the people believing that their priority now is to optimize monetization strategies, instead of performance. At least on PS4.
I'll try reinstalling the whole game, to see if it improves. If not, I'm taking a long break from it.

I just kicked out of two matches in a roll and now it has freezed at the title screen. Why does every patch seem to break the game in someway?

I think there has been a memory leak in the PS4 game for some time now and it gets worse with PS4 going into rest mode and not fully closing the game.
Try fully closing the game and loading it up again. Usually fixed the stuttering for me

Frame rate definitely seems to have taken a hit.
A lot of performance issues this patch i'm tempted to just wait for the hotfix and hope it fixes some things...

New map and new killer seems to make the performance drop.

A game I was just in lagged us all out, reset my blood webs and blood points to where I was a few games ago. Basically lost my progress for 3-4 games. I’m not gonna be playing survivor because it seems broken. The only issue I’ve had as killer are hit boxes being messed up.

Haven't played new map yet but I'll update when I do.
New killer def has fps drops but the worse maps I've found are: Ormond, Auto wreckers, The Forest... Haven't played on Yamoka yet though.
Hoping they patch it in the coming weeks because I'm LOVING the new killer!

Just played the new map and while I enjoyed it... idk how to describe it other than it's super "fuzzy" it reminds me of how Ormond was with trying to see the silhouette of survivors - not good.
I'm hoping they'll update it soon ❤️🤞
