Pennywise - I think it's a real possibility, even more than any other...
Let's look:
Ok, seems like we have gotten everything except dedicated servers. The new chapter 13 comes out tomorrow with, Nancy, Mom and the Demogorgon. Now, the rift we all know is coming and the Switch version was announced to be coming very shortly. Now to the spice:
The reasons why I personally think Pennywise will become the next killer is:
- Stand-alone chapter: If we looked back at the Stranger Things chapter and even in the teams own mouths, they said NO KIDS and it makes sense. Eleven and possibly Mike would have been even more canon than both Nancy and Steve, but guess what, they're underage. Same thing with Pennywise, the kids are underage and the first stage (Kids, not adults) were much more popular. The adults don't seem to be very popular.
- Derry is TOO big to be a map. You can say "Hey, maybe the sewers can be a possibility". Sounds awesome, but I highly doubt it's going to happen with the Map Rework, which I'm pretty sure it will be Haddonfield.
- All other stand-alone chapters have been licensed before. They did not say a survivor is not possible, but every stand-alone chapter has been from another franchise, not ours.
- Cote himself admitted to trying to get Pennywise, but it wasn't the right time. Go to Paulie Esther's video at 9:15 to 9:50
- They just started following Stephen King: Paulie Esther made the argument that they followed him a long time ago, but why re-follow? It makes no sense and especially from the companies own Twitter account.
- Blu-ray for IT 2 comes out around December, when chapter 14 is launched.
Yeah, I think I'm sold.
Now: If you don't know and have hopes for the Halloween Bright Event. If you go to the LeaksByDaylight Twitter account, they've been tweeting about it.
Not to be a complete ego waste, but I've got a pretty good track record. Even guessed the Stranger Things a month before hand with one of my threads. You can see it, I won't plug it. Have a nice day :)

I personally feel it's to early to really start guessing at the next chapter but I'd be decently happy to have Pennywise and a member of the losers club as our next DLC.

I mean anything is possible. Look at Ghost Face, I remember the countless threads calling for his inclusion for DBD.
I do prefer original killers at the end of the day though, it's just more exciting to me and the dev team wouldn't be so limited to what they want to do with their own creation.
Pennywise in general is just a fun character. I wouldn't mind his inclusion, content is content.

Think...A killer who definitely doesn't need a map...
Any suggestions. I think this is biggest lead we have.
The firebreather would fit clown map.
The snow demon thing, yeti on Ormond.
The spirit map... What killer would also fit there? Geisha? Hmm...
We need suggestions people!

BRAINFART
THE SCARECROW would fit perfectly on cold wind farm.
Doesn't require a new map. Doesn't rely on the new skeletal rig of Demogorgan (which would have been really risky)
We need a T posing killer.

In the newest IT the kids were definitely the favorite but chapter 2 just came out and not everyone has seen it so the adult version will grow. In the original the adult version/part 2 was definitely more well known as a lot of memorable scenes came from there. Popularity wise I feel it would be the same either way especially if the survivors were the losers club. :o
Derry is a big place but it doesn’t have to be just Derry, it could be the all about the sewers like you said or even the well house. If the devs wanted to get really creative they could add Derry but have different variations focusing on different locations. Derry l could focus on Bill’s house and neighborhood where Georgie died. Derry ll could focus on the sewers and the creek. Derry lll could be downtown with different buildings to go in like the pharmacy, arcade, movie theater and so on, sort of like Freddy’s maps but more diverse.
True but that could change, just like stand alone “chapters” used to be called paragraphs but the devs changed them to be considered chapters. Small change but could also mean changes to it being licensed characters. Plus personally we’ve had three licensed characters in a row and making it four would just be bland. I’d prefer an original first then a licensed chapter.
While the date seems smart it doesn’t have to be then. It’s been years since Ghostface had a movie yet a lot of people where hyped for him, same as Nightmare, Halloween, and Leatherface. IT is very popular and known so I’m sure IT’s popularity isn’t going down anytime soon.

As long as we get tim curry's as a skin.
But yes, bill skarsgard did pennywise so well I think he did it better.
I knew him from hemlock grove, so when they announced HE was doing new pennywise, I was excited. I LOVE tim curry, but his wouldnt be the og version if it came to dbd.

I rather have the newer pennywise than the Tim curry version the new one is way better the old one was good but not as good as the new pennywise
