New Map is ######### af.
On one hand we have uber loops with BL and on the other to much dead ends.
But for me, the most annoying thing is the permanent pulsing sound, or doors that make much to loud sounds...so ######### annoying and in no way it adds something to the gameplay, or the atmosphere. Just annoying af...

New map is very atmospheric and I don't see anything that can annoy there

Agreed.

Because of people like you devs are demotivated to make such cool maps like this one. It has so much details and it's so atmospheric. If you are competetive that much, then go play something else

It is a very cool map. Very complicated though. It's going to be tough to learn without getting a pen and paper and trying to draw the map.

Honestly, it has a lot of atmosphere. When first playing it, I actually felt uncomfortable. While I like the visual design of many Maps, this is the first Indoor Map I like from design AND atmosphere. They did well with it.

The atmosphere is amazing with the sounds and everything, but the map has some stupid strong loop areas and far too many pallets!
3 -
Most of the Pallets are unsafe tho.

But between balance landing and strong loops the map is ridiculous.
You can just run from one pallet to the next and use them as obstacles to slow down the killer.
You'll find another one within 4 seconds

It's one of my most favourite maps.
At first when I got the information that it is gonna be a indoor map with two floors like The Game, I was like "dear lord, please no!" because I really don't like the saw map. But I took a lot of time to explore the new map during the ptb and was so surprised in a positive way.
The design and the amount of details is awesome and the atmosphere with the lightning and the sounds is great.
There are a lot possibilities to hide and I really like the concept of the stairs and extra-floors with grids.
There are a lot of unsafe pallets - literally a ton of pallets everywhere, which I like. I prefer more unsafe pallets to few safe pallets. It makes the game more balanced and survivors can't only rely on looping one single pallet but have to think how else they can escape which seems to work really well on the new map.
Especially if you have balanced landing this map is really strong for survivors. That's my experience. I think they did a really well map design with this one.

Unsafe is still abuse able, just much more difficult to pull off.
But I'm mainly talking about the double pallet rooms, and the safe pallets combined with window drops without a proper place for the killer to just drop off and cut the loops shorter.

EXACTLY!!
who the hell decided that those drop downs without killer counterplay were a good idea?

There's a specific noise upstairs, it throws me off everytime.

The map overall is great. There are a few loops that seem very strong, even without BL. Also in one room is a loop with double pallets + option to BL. I got Chased there for a long time and the killer had to leave me. But with minor fixed the map is great imo

I would be glad if you can show me how you can use these unsafe pallets as obstacles against a decent killer without him catching up to you in no time.
In addition, if holding W and pressing space bar is NOW how this game is supposed to be played, I am really worried about the future of this game.
3 -
Do you mean the rats in the cage?

Could you please show me how you can abuse those unsafe pallets against a decent killer. I would be more than happy to learn from you.

Watch puppers when he streams, he is one of the best on this map.
Anyway the way you use those pallets are like vaults, throw them down and force the killer to use the longer path to come to you.
You have so many pallets to use like this, you can then use balance landing and loop the hell out of most killers

Haddonfield 2.0

I do watch Puppers; never saw him abuse unsafe pallets and use them consistently as obstacles to slow the killer down, or throw them down and use them as vaults. I also don't think this strategy is gonna work against any killer that has more than 3 brain cells. It is also BORING to hold W and run with no mindgame or skills involved.
Yes this map has a broken room that can waste a lot of the killer time. However, any decent killer will not chase you there.

Well I wouldn't know...had about 10 games since update...no Hawkins for me so far...

Most of these certain pallets you're speaking about the killer can literally walk around, costing like .05 extra seconds to take a step left/right.

I love it!!.... I can actually get lost in the map... like a few others stated the devs knocked it out of the park with this one and the cherries on top is when you play the demogorgon on it ofcourse...... players will get used to the loops after a bit..
1 -
Ok just played it. To be honest, it's visually the best map and feels very authentic with some nice touches.
We'll have to see how it goes with tactical play over time.
2 -
Idk, I never actually check what it is, but my brain likes thinking the sound is a Survivor opening a Chest.

Well watch better, its quite clear that puppets plays this map well. Never sad anything about abusing the unsafe pallets, but the rational is to run from pallets to pallets.
There are weak areas followed by Haddonfield areas, this map is simply garbage to play.
These devs don't really know what they are doing, anyway I'm giving up with plating dbd a lot, it's pointless

I LOVE the ambience of the new map. So many new sounds and wow the rats upstairs actually jumpscared me. I wish they touched up the old maps with similar atmospheric changes.
