GAME BREAKING BUG (also posted on bug report)
whenever i hook a survivor who DIES on hook, i crash, that's it, i hook them at as soon as the hook animation is done, when they start their death animation, i crash, that's all there is to it, i hook, crash, 3 times now, twice in a row, in 2 games, please behavior, fix this game breaking bug!
i want to play!!!!

Hm didn't see this happening to anyone, can you specify your pc specs and have yoy tried tl verify the files ad reinstall it?

This is definitely a personal issue on your end with your PC (Probably graphics card) or the installation as a whole.
It could also have something to do with the GPU as this game tends to suck a lot of % from the GPU, which helps with why it crashes. The death animation from the dead Survivor is possible too taxing for your GPU to handle, which overclocks and crashes the game every-time.
You can try verifying and or uninstalling and re-installing the game as a suggestion, this won't hurt your data in any way as the game saves your progress via a cloud, and even if it didn't it wouldn't erase your data anyways.
If nothing changes, and the problems still persist, get back to me on the issue and I can possible find more info on your personal issue.

Personally, your specs don't seem to be the issue. It could just be the game itself, like he and I said just verify your files first, play a game. And if this continues, uninstall and reinstall the game and just re-post here letting us know if anythings changed.

Were you using dying light?
It has been crashing some games after a certain amount of time or stacks

i almost never crashed in this game at all, in 2K hours in 3 years i might have crashed like 6 times, without counting the loading crash issue the game had for a while, so idk why NOW it would be too much for my GPU when it enver did before, but i will re-install the game, who knows, tho steam said the files were all valid

Yes, it says its valid all the time when you verify them. It just clearly wasn't until you did verify them.
You can try a match now before reinstalling, or just reinstall to get it over with. Either way, its clearly the game acting up as it often does, so this could possible remedy the issue.

someone mentionned that dying light was making people crash their game, and i was using dying light each time

i think i started crashing when i was getting my sixth token, could the game not be properly programmed for more than 5 tokens?

Try playing without it right now without the perk in use. See if that actually does anything, if it does, than we should let the community know the perk is causing some issues.

Just crashed hooking a Survivor, it is dying lighting causing the issue.
Please refrain from using Dying light for now on, and you'll be fine dude :)
I'll be making a post on this issue, so everyone will be aware that its causing people to crash.
