Is it worth switching?
I've played this game on Xbox since I think the Cannibal came out. I've gotten a pc though and wasn't sure if switching to pc was even worth the progress reset

I honestly don't understand why this is a thing. Square enix made it account based.
And had it to were you could swap PC ps2 and Xbox you would log in and it would load your account .
That said yes it's worth it thou you shouldn't have to give up your hard work. Bvr is just wanting 2 double dip.
That and mcote is too busy playing civ 5

Cross-Progression would be the greatest. I'm sure it'd encourage more people to buy the switch version too.

Sounds like an absolute slog.
I wouldn't switch if I had that much invested in the XBone.
Even if the game is different on the PC (the maneuevers you see on both sides are very different for PC) I wouldn't want to start over from scratch.

@Cardgrey @Akarate_Dolphin Hi-Rez does it with Paladins and Realm Royale (and maybe Smite, I don't know as I've never played it). You not only have cross-platform play between PC, Xbox, and Switch (not PS4, though, because Sony likes being Sony), but also cross-platform progression.
I could play Paladins on my PC or a Switch with the same account, and never lose any progression or unlocks.
Why this is not more of a thing in 2019 is beyond me. But I would never buy DbD on a different platform and start all over again. Never mind the asinine grind, but that also means buying all the DLCs all over again and paying again for what I, technically, already own.

I like DbD, but I sure as hell don't like it that much.

I'll just wait and hope Bhvr, one day adds an option to link accounts. Smite has done it, they somehow managed to get Sony to approve of it, like you said. also, my comment is missing or something so if you see another one like this its because it just randomly disappeared or something

There are things you can do with a mouse and keyboard that you can't really do on a gamepad. At least not on the same level you can do it on PC. It's why Nurse is the strongest killer on PC but not on consoles.
The mindgames are different because you can't moonwalk mindgame on consoles the way you do on PC.

To be honest as a console and PC player no it's not worth it , if you want the PC feel just get a kb & mouse adapter
