i saw this a while ago and it really interested me. Before the freddy rework, i enjoyed playing freddy as he felt challenging but rewarding. I think there should be a button when you pick freddy if you want to play old freddy or new freddy. the new freddy is strong but feels more standard than he was before. I think this will please players like me and people who like new freddy. Idk if this possible but i hope you guys consider this possible change @Peanits

Keep as is, this would make the community want every killer to have the same option if they've been reworked or significantly changed. I'd rather have the developers prioritize over bugs, balance and new content. It's a no from me.

I think it would be cool in custom games, but old Freddy has no place in normal games.

Peanits already said that they wouldnt want to do that because they want the killers to be recognizable and so people wont get confused over which Freddy is which. They want to remain consistent or something like that

    No.

There's a reason Freddy was reworked, and it wasn't just to please killers. It was to please Survivors.

Old Freddy's ability is a huge headache for Survivors. It was extremely polarizing and absolutely destroys stealth gameplay to a level that nothing else in the game does. Old Freddy was removed because he completely destroyed a lot of survivors. DCs against old Freddy were extremely common.

The only thing I want back from old Freddy is the old Dream World effect. The new Dreamworld effect is a huge FPS drain.

i get that freddy did destroy stealth but honestly, not many survivors really care to be stealthy. Why do you think freddy was considered the worst killer. Survivors knew that freddy could see them with the aura reading so they either waited for a skillcheck or even just prepared for his arrival and then he gets loops to infinity. Stealth is so underwhelming and survivors usually tried to get freddy's attention as he was thought to be so weak and survivors pretty much took him as a joke.

Now personally i don't think he was that bad and he was never the worst killer imo. I never took freddy as a joke as he could make games go on forever and had some unique mindgames with the transition that most freddy's never utilized. I do think he was incredibly underrated and really just needed buffs and not a rework.

    Peanits has already said no.

They don't want to continue to support the old version of a reworked character. They were reworked for a reason.

I'd love them to being him back as a brand new killer, just call him the Sandman or something. His numbers should be tweaked a little but not everyone considered him the worst killer.

However, I'd feel ripped off if they made him one of the regular seasonal chapters.

An almost permanently invisible killer who takes seven seconds before he's allowed to actually injure survivors?

    Marvelous! 😕

I had no problems with old Freddy when playing as or against him. Survivors just whinge too much they would happily have all killers nerfed to the ground

Freddy was not the greatest then, had too high of a skill cap for a killer who cannot maim survivors until they are asleep, and who is countered by the insta-heal while down tactic

If they wanted to keep the old Freddy around, they wouldn't have completely rebuilt him from the ground up.
