New Map is Awful!
The Hawkins Lab map is a pure garbage, unsafe palettes, narrow corridors, dead ends you name it, just wanted to share my thoughts 😂

While it has a bunch of unsafe pallets, there are still plenty of turns and corners. Then there are the rooms with the catwalks. Hoo boy, in the long rooms with catwalks that have 2 pallets in it are such big time wasters. If they have Balanced Landing you simply aren't going to catch them. This map is Balanced Landing heaven, practically Haddonfield 2.0

That room you are talking about, if you land on the railing just right, you will not use BL and you will have the same recovery rate

Once you know the map, its actually not that bad.
Granted, it does have a fair bit of unsafe pallets though... the ones that can easily be mind-gamed into a hit.
But it does have a fair bit of safe pallets also, you just have to look for them. But yes, the map is in no way noob friendly...

DIdn't know that, but BL is still really strong on this map.
