Game is too frustrating now because of too much camping and tunnelling

I played 7-8 games today after work, and instead of having a fun game, all of them are filled by campers and tunnelers. It is either I'm the one got camped or tunneled or the other survivors. 100% of my games today are filled by ######### killers. I'm fine getting sacrificed by pro nurses because they earned it, but getting camped and sacrificed by these ######### after waiting and re-lobbying to find a host with latency below 200ms for a long time, that's frustrating. Last Saturday, more than 50% of my games are like that. Anyway, I'm from SEA region and only play solo. Playing averagely, can escape chases 30% of the time at green to purple rank, but never on red rank, also I can't do the 180/360 move. So I can never played toxic.

Looks like the punishment of having bit smaller points when camping is too lukewarm. Can't the punishment increase like 100pts/second that the points can decrease to negative because of too much camping, and negative points when the hooked survivor dies while getting camped, unless when in chase. After the game ends where killer has negative points because of camping, their points will just turn to 0.

And those that camped, maybe the points getting deducted from the killer will be transferred to them. It is probably their fault that they got hooked, but not to get camped. This won't completely prevent these ######### to do these ######### things, but at least it would reduce them and give some consolation to their victims.

Facts I agree so much. I hate being camped and tunneled every game. I'm one that doesn't play super toxic I'm ok with stealth dodging. I understand that I wont win every game. But come on man. Camping really pisses me off .

Main problem is the game is built around a survivor having a few chances. And camping shortens that to 1... More like Friday 13th. But no bear traps or flare guns or shotguns to help...

I'm not sure with other regions, but here in SEA, you would find lots of lobby on red ping(300ms to 500ms), so you have to re-lobby lots of times until you pings that are below 200ms(above 200ms is despite of being yellow, it is really awful). After finding one, then you got camped and tunneled immediately when you got hooked. It feels like you've wasted lots of your time. And when I find the other survivors getting camped or tunneled, I feel bad for them that I just disconnect because of the killer being total of an #########. I can't say that leaving the game would punish the killer because they receive around 5000 points, but it is more frustrating playing with them.

Agreed it takes to long to find a good ish lobby just to die in mins to camping.

And the sad thing is it's in all ranks. Low and high. Camping should be more negative then positive.

It's quite BS when playing solo, but if you're in SWF you sir have a bad team right there...

    Now? Its only now?

    Hon this has BEEN happening.

It's a matter of playing through it to higher ranks. Or punishing those tou see camp by DOING GENS.

If you get camped, it sucks, not much to do, but when it's someone else, spread the lesson.

You will never change people camping or tunneling. It is in some cases the MOST effective way to complete their objective.

In red ranked killers, I only encountered this kind of behavior once in my 2 years playing this game. A bit rare on purple, but lower ranks are plagued by this issue. With my skills and being a casual player, reaching and staying at red ranks is really hard.

Are you looking for help or just to blow of steam?

Camping and tunneling sucks, but what build where they running?

Was Remember Me in play and you the obsession?

    What build do you use?

Was you team over altruistic and rewarded the killer?

How can you prevent to get hooked in the first place or improve your looping skills?

Survivors are as strong if not stronger then the killer if played right.

I'm always playing solo for around a year now. My friends already moved on to other games. And I believe SWF rarely happens here in SEA. Only played against SWF at least twice in my 2 years playing this game, though I'm a survivor main.

Most of these campers would change if they got punished properly, the current punishment is too lukewarm, negligible to be exact and the victims are the ones who gets punished severely right now. And on solo lobby, yeah, you can just continue working on generator, but you can always find survivors trying to help those that getting camped and few gens getting repaired because we can't communicate. Well, even if there's voice/text chat, ppl here in SEA don't talk to each other on other games because of language barrier.

Because camping and tunneling is an easy win, playing to have fun and getting better with that killer is to hard.

It is our fault if we got hooked, but not when camped or tunneled. We can improve our looping and evading skills, but you will eventually get caught because killers. But it is not a reason you have to get camped, right?

If you don't want camper just rank up to red rank and that should fix that.

Well, I'm talking about the last few months. Aside from terrible optimization, I keep on encountering these arseholes, and worst are those that doing lag-switch or hosts that have terrible internet connection(green latency before game starts, but rubber-banding in the middle of the game, or when in chase).

Then report them, and write a ticket to support about it. Provide the info needed, and most importantly; bring evidence.

It is not a fix. I'm more of a casual player and I can't really use that 180/360 move which increases your chance of escaping a chase.

I always report those that I suspect of using lag-switch, I don't record gameplays because of it is too much a hassle and want to make sure that every resources I have goes to the game because this game is badly optimized.

Killers sometimes camp a really good survivor to get him out of the game so maybe it's a compliment.

Then again, sometimes we go for weakest/easiest hook, so maybe you have to keep practicing to get better at not being seen/targeted.

This game does have a skill curve. A lot of newer and younger players don't realize this at first. There isn't any meaningful tutorial and you'll get placed with noobs as often you get placed with experienced players, no matter the rank. You get better the more you play but most people can't expect to jump into it and do well.

This has been a thing since DBD's release.

Camping and tunelling have always been strats in the game and it's only by survivors actions can they truly be punished. If someone camps do gens and get out and if hooked stay there don't leave the game early it's only rewarding them. If someone tunnels don't save until the last minute to give everyone more time.

The devs have been trying to change this but you cannot change the mind of someone who just wants to kill or sacrifice you. The emblem system goes against what I said but a pip is a small price to pay for not rewarding the other side as in the end rewarding the strat is what makes it viable.

It really depends on the situation of the game state and on what killer is playing. A hag is a proxy camping goddess, so don't run to or of the hook, crouch or use flashlights.

    What killers did you face?

    Did you provoke them?

Was the rest of your team SWFs?

All you can do is, ask for BT in pregame chat, use DS and use perks that either helping you to break chases, avoid chases and use your loops correctly.

With Adrenaline, DS, BT, Instaheal and a coordinated team you can overcome every face camper.

Not true, I'm a rank one and I get camped all the time by killers of all ranks.

If you are the one being tunneled, you are either the easiest target or your team mates messed up, which causes you to be the easiest target. There is really nothing you can do other than hoping that your team mates get out so that the killer doesn't even get a black pip or start playing SWF. Same thing with being camped. Don't ######### because you're just giving the killer a chance to get your team mates, if they are smart and realise that you are being camped they start doing the objective and get an easy escape, causing the killer to depip.

It is not a fix. I'm more of a casual player and I can't really use that 180/360 move which increases your chance of escaping a chase.

If you try to depend on 360s in a chase you'll lose nearly every chase. You need to start looping. Pallets and Windows are your friends.

Campers are going to camp and tunnelers are going to tunnel no matter the punishments you give.

These are valid strategies no matter how you put it. All you can do is take preventive measures (Like DS and Kindred), and just move from match to match. Just know that you got so far into the killer's head they threw the game to kill you.

Being camped sucks, but a killer face camping their first victim will loose the game. The other 3 survivors should get a big a chunk of the gens done. That is the punishment for the killer camping. Yes it sucks when its you on the hook but its whatever. Go to the next match ^^

There are also perks that help survivors with camping/tunneling/slugging (also punishment enough for the killer) & there are perks for the killer that reward them for not camping. There is not much more the devs can do. People will play how they want to play.

Ultimately camping/ tunneling/ slugging is a part of the game. They are strategic and if you play killer you know it has its time and place.

It happens at any rank, seemingly more so at red since they're trying harder to win (though against these people, myself included, the effort really is not necessary). Maybe R1 God Survivors are a tough win, but the rest of us...

"Camping" and "Tunneling" have always been part of this game. Your "frustration" shouldn't be any different than it was a year ago.

If you want it to stop then replace human controlled killers with A.I.

Instead of reading half of the book how about reading the whole book. You claim that camping and tunneling is ruining survivor Expirence, and I can agree. But what's causing killers to camp and tunnel?

I've typically always played survivor, but recently switched to playing killer when friends aren't online... What I found? Survivors - ya'll are terrible. There is literally no way to play that they won't complain about something when they die. Then, they'll stand at the exit tea-bagging and making you chase them out if they don't die, rather than just saying GG and moving on.

If i'm running to the hook to stop a save, I'm not going to pause and go "Wait... if I go after that guy, its tunelling, so I'll go try to find someone else"

No. I'm not thinking that, and for the record, I'm not thinking about tunneling either. I'm simply going after the survivor I see, who I can down.

As much as you want to win, so do I. Winning to me, and most killers, is getting as many kills as I can. If you want to play different, and go for blood points, or something - you do you.

As for camping, most killers patrol. And most do this because survivors are constantly trying to save.

To be honest, none of this would bother me if queue times weren't so incredibly long, and your average gamer could take a loss without taking it personally.
