My Worries about DBD Mobile.(Feedback Welcome
I am extremely worried about Dead by Daylight Mobile, and I honestly think it is a step in the wrong direction for the game. I have numerous reasons for believing this, and I will list them below.
I believe that the main problem with DBD mobile is successfully porting it to a mobile game. DBD is a fairly complex game, and I have trouble believing that they could effectively turn it into a smooth-flowing mobile game. The same goes for the controls, which would be at minimum a hassle and at worst a nightmare of buttons. I do not see how they could turn it into a mobile game that is played on phones considering the complex control scheme. Also, they have stated that the mobile game would be free, meaning that the primary way that the developers would earn money from it is through DLC and cosmetics. I do not mind this, I just don't see people paying that much money on DLC for a mobile game, even if it is DBD. If you are going to pay money for a DLC for a game that is already on console or PC, I do not understand why you would not buy it there. And if they are going for a more casual experience for people who do not own gaming devices, it would be even worse. DBD is a game that takes high amounts of concentration and TryHardness (yes that's a word) and I feel that someone trying to be a casual player who just wants to pop in and play would be destroyed by players who use the high skill killers who actually know what they are doing. I honestly feel that instead of creating a mobile DBD that I don't see the developers earning much money off of, they should update their base game to make it a more clean and non-buggy experience. The reason that a lot of people are turned away from DBD is that it seems very noncasual and hard, and I don't see why making a mobile game would help that, if not just worsen it. I feel that the way it is going, DBD mobile is going to be like Fortnight mobile(I do not like that game, just an example) and die within a month. That is just my opinion, if you disagree and would like to give suggestions or thoughts I would appreciate it.

Probably be a copy of Identity V which bhvr helped make.
I would be more worried about f2p monetization practices making its way into the paid version, more so than it already has.

The mobile game is being made by a separate team. So it really has little effect on the console/PC versions.

I just feel as if the Mobile game is going to launch both rushed and buggy, and this will result in it dying in a month. I still feel as if the console and PC versions will continue as is, as it is made by a separate team like you said.

I really dont see why they shouldn't if game like pubg can be successful why not DBD? Games on mobile devices are becoming better all the time with each new yearly device becoming more powerful more console/pc games can and will port over.
Mobile gaming is actually the largest market out there with around 55 billion spent last year and rising. The question really is why wouldn't a developer not try and tap into that market?
The teams working on each platform are different so it doesn't affect the others and who knows maybe they can learn from each other.

Although I see what you mean, I just do not think it is the right direction for DBD. Also, mobile games make more money than console and PC games because they usually pump their apps full of disgusting amounts of ads and microtransactions. Not saying that DBD will do that, but that is the reason why they get so much revenue.

I disagree sorry.
As a gaming company if there is a market for your game on any platform why wouldnt you make it available?
The more platforms the game is out on the more money the devs can so in turn it allows them to keep the game going long term.
DBD already has microtransaction in the form of skins. They also have all the dlc's to sell. It's an untapped market and one millions of people enjoy.
There are also programs like bluestacks where you can play mobile games on pc very easily without the need for the higher end hardware.

I want to transfer game date from my xbox to mobile. Will I even be able to?

No they are very different games run by different teams. The progression system is not the same and the free survivors and killers are different too.

I am fine with you disagreeing, this is a discussion after all. I feel as if the time and money they spend on the mobile version will not be worth it for either the developers or the players. They could have spent that time making DBD have a cleaner user interface and smoothed out some bugs, which I personally believe would have brought far more players.

I am not sure personally, but I think that you will most likely not be able to.

Actually, on the Development teams post about the mobile game, they said it would have the exact same killers and experience, they just ported the game to be used for a mobile interface. I agree with you that you will probably not be able to transfer data from other consoles into mobile.

The characters in the game are the same but which ones are free are different. And the main gameplay of doing gens and sacrificing survivors is the same but the way you unlock things is completely different.

Got it. So the gameplay and characters are the same, but the progression in the game is different.
