Purple vs reds

Is it just me or does anyone feel like there is a huge difference in experience between the two. I get really frustrating games against reds when I haven’t even reached red status. It feels like the bar just suddenly jumps a lot in comparison to leveling up to other ranks.

    The skill level between purple and red rank players doesn't seem that far apart to me. The difference is the competitive nature of the two groups. Purple ranks will try to win but are sometimes willing to have fun or mess around.

    Red rank players are different. Red rank players, from what I can tell, would respond to "do you want a fun casual match?" by playing "The Soul of Cinder" over their mic.
