Really tired of super close exit gates
Seriously, how is there no programming that prevents this. Sure, they should be across the map from each other. A Huntress was able to throw an axe from one gate to hit me opening the other. This wasn't some trick shot, it was a clear line of sight.

Yeah especially with endgame collapes like if you dont have a key to open/reopen the hatch you're just dead even with vigil or whatever the perk is that gives you 5% faster exit gate opening its kind of crazy that it is just how the game can end up maybe just my opinion but who else thinks just 5% is kind of a problem maybe im just being a crybaby LoL but if the killer is able to rotate from one exit gate to the other before i can open the gate its just annoying/frustrating its not just a once in a dozen games its like any game almost heaven forbid its against a billy who can just sprint from gate to gate but thats relatively understandable oh well i just end up looping the killer untill the collapse kills me untill i can git gud if you read all this congrats

It’s RNG, same stuff killers have dealt with on totems for years
8 -
Add the hatch spawning next to one of the gates lol
4 -
Billy sprinting back and forth between gates :(
5 -
I'm real sick of exit gates that spawn way the hell too far apart. This only matters for survivors that failed and the hatch gets closed. Cry me a river.
12 -
They could fix this by adding another Exit Gate, but I don't feel as if that would be fair towards killers. How often would you say that this happens to you, or was it just a one time occasion.

Lol all good if you use wake up spine chill resilience and a nearby dwight using leader the gate opening time is 5 seconds or ten seconds with the killer looking at you anyways and that could possibly help you out the billy chainsaw sprinting could cry me a river with this build :)

I've had this happen to survivors I was playing against... I felt bad so after I realized it I went much easier. I still got my 4k but let them get points...
When this happens as a survivor and you're the only one left it a wrap. Killer finds hatch, closes it and you're done. I normally just try and find totems or chests so that I can at least get some more points.

@slingshotsurvivor You know that’s awesome that you do this. Not saying anyone has to feel bad for somebody else, but you know even if it’s let them get more points I think that’s cool that you let them do that.
I usually just close the hatch for points and let them have the gate. Unless I really wanted to pip up which in most instances I do anyway.

What bout when killer fails at stopping gens getting finished and now stands at both doors looking. at both waiting. Try escaping a Tier 3 MM with both doors next each other... =not fun
6 -
That happened to me against a doctor on that myers map. I finished the last gen opened the gate and got my Left Behind achievement.
2 -
Unless it was a tomestone or inifinte T3 myers it really shouldn't be more than an inconvience.

Funny...mine always seem to spawn across the map from each other.
1 -
Not the point. Needs to be fixed

How do I fail as a Survivior if my 3 teammates are bonobos?
1 -
To clarify, there were 3 of us. One surv was killed through hardcore tunneling. The rest of us died on our first hook.

Sometimes exit gate spawn is in the killer's favour, sometimes in the survivor's.
If the exit gates would always spawn on opposite sides of the map, it would always be a free escape if the killer doesn't run Whispers.
1 -
Actually that's a fair point. If the gens got done, the killer can't camp 2 gates to prevent a team from opening them. A killer would have to leave a gate to chase someone away, opening up time for someone else to open it.
This gate issue is only a problem for a "last survivor" scenario, not any other.

I'm kinda torn on whether or not letting the last one go. I took pity when the last one try so hard to escape, but at the same time I don't want people to become entitled because "the last killer let me escape, why won't you? "

Just make a minimum Distance and a Maximum Distance and add at least one LoS blocker between both gates. all problems for everyone solved.
0 -
Peanits explained why that's pretty much impossible awhile back. Maps like Mount Ormond has spots a killer can stand to see over pretty much all LOS blockers. In Mount Ormond case, standing on the 2nd floor of the main building will let you see both exits unless they spawned on opposite ends of the map.

I'd prefer someone standing on a hill to sitting between both gates any day. unless the hill is between both gates. in which case you're double screwed.
0 -
The main building in the middle of the map...is gonna be between both gates... Your gonna be spotted without the killer having to take a step.
0 -
So you get punished for ur team playing poorly. Got it.
If killers were losing bc of some outside reason they couldn't control, that ######### would be hotfixed in a day, but it's a survivor woe so ######### them, right?
0 -
No it wouldn't. Deductive reasoning can often tell you where the last dude is.
0 -
That's the point of an asymmetrical 4v1 horror game. If you're gonna cry that your teammates sucked, Find a new game or play killer.
0 -
That's a good way to drive away players. If ur a smart player, you should be given the opportunity to Survive and not lose bc ur teammates were trash and RNG screwed you. That's the epitome of unfair.
And again like I said. If killers were losing bc of RNG, that would be hotfixed and killers would be given oral sex by half or BHVR and the keys to City Hall as an apology tour. But no, Surviviors are dealing with it.
So ######### them, right?

Exit gates spawning is very random but yea the exit gates NEED TO BE FAR AWAY
0 -
The answer still doesn't change and why don't you improve as a survivor while your teammates run around like headless chickens if they are being potatoes or go play killer and see how the game functions from the other side
0 -
Leaving it to RNG is the fairest option for the gates.
Make them too far away you give the survivor the escape, too close the Killer gets to easily patrol the areas. Since there's so much difference in the mobilty of killers there's no real happy medium on gate distance thus making RNG being the deciding factor the best option.
0 -
You can start to open a gate and stop right before the bar hits the e and stop then hide if you stop before the e the door will look like it hasn't been touched then you get just wait for them to patrol it and as soon as they leave get back on it and hope you get it open in enough time

I think the best way to balance it for killer and survivor (except for maps like The Game where the exit areas are built into the map) is to make them right in the middle of the furthest possible positions and the shortest possible positions. It's pretty easy to do for maps with the brick walls on the edges, but impossible for some others unless they get completely reworked.
0 -
Man are you seriously crying this much for losing a match? You better not ever play killer then, it doesn't matter if you play a perfect game, 4 great swf will destroy you
0 -
Agreed. If you're facing the Nurse, you have to do near the impossible to survive.
0 -
I feel like I can't stress enough that I literally main Nurse. I just understand unfair BS when I see it.

There's a limit to how much one Survivior can do. One Survivior contrary to popular belief cannot run the killer, do gens, and save teammates all at once. Surviviors do not have the capability to "solocarry" their team like someone would in another team game like League of Legends or Overwatch.
0 -
EGC doesn't care who it favors, it's only there to put a hard limit on how long the game can go on for. Sometimes it benefits the survivor, sometimes the killer.
And a little tip if you're trying to open the gates after the hatch is closed: do juuuust enough progress on your chosen gate that the first light doesn't turn on, hide and wait for the killer to come check, and then commit to it. Cuts down the time you spend while commiting and it has honestly saved me several times. And oh, pray the killer doesn't have Whispers of course, in that case they came prepared and you're screwed 😄
0 -
If you learn how to loop effectively to make the killer waste a massive amount of time you are carrying your team since it's time they are spending doing gens or if you can hit all great skill checks and doing gens or just use left behind and keys
0 -
You can't force ur team to do gens. And if you adopt that type of "solo carry" role, ur the one who dies and maybe safety pips if he's lucky.
