HWID ban with monitor?
Hi,
A friend of mine gave me his old but still good monitor to me because he is upgrading, unfortunately he is HWID (hardware ID) banned on his computer. I really like DBD and been playing it for years and don't want to get an hwid ban because I play on his monitor. Am I safe or should I just use my own monitor? Really want to connect it rn. (Told from people to post this here tell me if it is the wrong sub. Dev reply would be appreciated.)

If it’s hardware banned it’s safe to assume you should not use it

Probably not. If he was HWID banned it was probably for a good reason, and the devs have zero way of knowing if you are him pretending so he can get his computer back. I'd stick with my own computer if I was you.

HWID bans are only registered on computer's motherboard. Monitor doesn't have nothing with this, so you're safe to use it.
