Starting a match as the killer takes too long...

I literally stopped playing this game since last week because of this, but today I tried to find a game again. It took 15 minutes to start a match which finished in 5 minutes due to genrush? Nope sorry. I won't play like this. I can't even play with fun builds because it takes too much time that I only want to play billy or nurse to make sure I'll have a fun match. I don't want to try a "fun build" but fail in the attempt and literally having to wait 15-20 minutes to play another game. I'm rank 3 btw. And don't tell me "there aren't enough survivors" because right now there are playing 20k people. With 20k people playing it is impossible that I could wait more than 5 minutes searching for lobby with a good matchmaking system.

Yeah I haven't been able to play all week the queue times have been just terrible.

There aren’t enough survivors. With 20k players, 16k would have to be queuing survivor to have good killer queues. It’s probably much less than that due to the event.

16k would have to be queuing survivor to find instantly a lobby as the killer. But I don't want that. I just want to wait less than 5 minutes. And it's weird how everyone says "there are more killers than survivors playing right now" but like 80% of twitch streamers are playing survivor. In my opinion it is the matchmaking what is broken and not the players playing more one side than another.

Kinda wish we had some sort of chart in the main menu, showing the player-amount balance between Survivors and Killers.

    Yup its pretty dumb.

The devs need to do something to boost survivor population. Like buff bp gains/remove category cap for survivors.

I switched to survivor for the event.

More bps per hour than playing killer.

I also agree with the matchmaking being broken.

These terrible queues started (on ps4) around a week before the blood hunt and they have continued since.

What makes me certain there's an issue with matchmaking is that ranks are all over the place and the 3 man lobby bug is back

Perhaps a good place to start would be not nerfing every survivor perk while buffing killer perks and powers repeatedly

No, just because the game is balanced now doesn't mean Survivors are underpowered.

We should have an automated system where if the servers find out if wait times are extremely long for Killer or Survivor, then 25% BP should be granted to the side affected by the wait times to promote quick matchmaking.

It should pro-rate the bonus based on differential.

Also: is this a necro? BP event wasn't going on when this started and I have ok q times normally...but once this event began...UGH. Takes AT LEAST 15 mins for a killer q. Just ridiculous.

They need to just make an AI mode already. Reduced BP and no ranks. Easy peasey.

Actually the 20k people does not mean there isn't a survivor shortage. For that 20k to be perfectly balanced, there would need to be 16k people playing survivor and only 4k playing killer.

For instance, say only 8,000 of those people are playing killer and 12,000 are survivor.

That means there is literally a shortage of 20,000 survivor players, because those 8k killer players need 32,000 survivor players for everyone to jump into games quickly and not be waiting.

In that example alone, 5,000 killer players are sitting in ques waiting for games to end or more people to sign on and ALL current survivor players are busy in game.
