Object of Obsession
Object of Obsession is a broken perk that forces a Killer to either chase the person (Who is likely gonna be really good at loops) or just leave them be and let the Obsession tell all there friends where they are at all times. It is unhealthy for the game and should be removed.
Change my mind.
While we are at it, Why Do survivors have the power role in a game where they get team mates?
Why Do survivors get a half dozen second chances while the Killer gets useless perks?
Why are Gens done so fast and maps suck so hard?
Why is the Killer, the Entity power killing machine, the one THAT IS ABLE TO BE BULLIED?
Why are MORE THAN HALF of the Killers low tier or worse?
What do the devs think of when they balance this game? It's simple. It's an asymmetrical game. 1 vs. 4.
This means, which could easily be shown on a pie chart, that the Killer should equal all 4 of the survivors working together. Simple.
What we HAVE is a game so lopsided and weird that one early game mistake could cost you the whole game as Killer. One off meta perk? Doomed. Survivors bring enough tool boxes? Doomed. (slight exaggeration, but not by much)
Why has the power role for this game been given to the team, and not that poor bastard on his own?
Now, before you say i'm just a Killer Main complaining or something like that, hear me out. This game is literally build on the idea of 1 Killer chasing down 4 survivors. 1 person that is supposed to attempt to kill and sacrifice the Survivors to the Spider Goddess in the sky. Why, in the name of everything holy, is it now where the Survivors just get to bully and play around with the Killer, tbag at the gates and then cuss them out in the post game chat?
Don't yall see where this is a really big deal? Don't yall see where this will lead?
Well, even if you don't some how, at least I got that off my chest. I really love the idea of this game, and on some level it's fun. But it's so easy for the fun to be sucked right out of the game. (On both sides, all you people that are typing "What about camping and tunneling?!" And to answer, Camping is a terrible strat and tunneling is too.) I wouldn't complain if I didn't enjoy this game. I'd just not play it at all. I wouldn't stream it or spend any time talking or thinking about it. But I do enjoy this game... and all i'm seeing is a downward spiral if all this keeps up.

“Why Do survivors get a half dozen second chances while the Killer gets useless perks?”
Killers have a lot of good perks...

Yes, they do. But how do they compare? That's my question. When the last chapter came out, what were people excited about perkwise. It sure wasn't Demo's.

People mainly cared about inner strength in terms of perks, not saying that Demo got good perks (because demo didn’t) but perks like stbfl, PGTW, enduring, bamboozle and thrilling tremors are all pretty nice.

I see what you are saying, but let's see. Adrenaline, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Balanced Landing, Object of Obsession, Decisive Strike, Head On, Inner Strength, Iron Will, Lithe, Prove Thyself, Spine Chill, Unbreakable....

I actually replaced Ruin with Surge on my Freddy today...pretty fun

Surge is also great with Thrilling. BUT do yall see my point?

While I agree afew perks in some situations are BS, I dont really have a problem with the majority. Earlier I had a Claudette deliverence herself off the hook, and even though I grabbed her RIGHT at the edge of crawling out...I still got DSed...

Yes, 60 seconds is really too long in a game like DBD.
I also meant the point of the long rant at the top. There were a few topics there.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

The new chapter added some obviously really good perks for survivors, but for killer? At the very best the Gorgons perks are niche.

OoO is completely op, until they give every stealth killer undetectable. Sadly.

Not gonna lie, you had me with the first 3 lines about Object of Obsession.
Sadly it turned into a Crybaby-Thread afterwards.

Let me show you how to do it
GIT GUD

I see that you didn't really read what I was saying then.
What I was talking about was a general disparity in the balancing of the game as a whole. At it's base this is a asymmetrical game. I.E. One that needs to be balanced in a way that the person with no or fewer teammates has the edge needed to handle the team on the other side. I am sure you read a bit, then decided all I was doing was whining cause I got beat at a game or some such. But, If you take a moment to think a bit deeper about the game and the balancing issues as a whole, you will see that I have a point. Am I right? Perhaps not, but I am at least in my mind, offering a clear and concise view of one of the major issues of Dead By Daylight.
Thank you for your time, and please don't label someone as a "Cry baby" or something when they are attempting to make a rational and logical point. At least without reading and thinking on the issues and topics brought to bear.
Also, thank you for agreeing about Object.

AH, the old Dark souls meme. Now that we got that out of the way, would you like to give us anything insightful or meaningful to this topic or shall I assume you are just here to troll and therefore ignore your input? Because, I would rather hope that your opinion on such a multi-leveled and diverse topic as this would be summed up in more than two words.

I see you're talking in the perspective of a m1 killer main. I don't have these problems, but then, I play Huntress. Idk, switch to billy or something.
0 -
They not gonna nerf OoO anymore, now that Undetectable is gonna be added onto all stealth killers.
0 -
Well, to rebut your comment, how many Killers would you consider to be a M1 Killer? Most, correct? That means, that from a point of view of a M1 Killer, the majority of the time I am correct.
Also, I applaud you being good at Huntress. I can never get those hatchets right. I also hate Billy, and think that more than 3-4 Killers should be worth playing as.

That’s how people deal with every survivor sided topic just learn how to play
but if it’s said to a killer it’s a problem and I’m a bad person
a lot of killers can do well at the game you are just not good enough let me say
so what I said isn’t just a meme

I wouldn't tell a Survivor to just "GIT GUD". I would tell them were they could go to find tips and ways to learn more about the game. For example, youtube. There are some very nice videos on how to properly run loops and how to handle chases and the likes.
Also, please do not assume that I am "Not good enough" I take offence to that. That would be like me just assuming that you are a terrible survivor. Very rude. Other than that, I wouldn't call you a "Bad person" anymore than i would call some person on the street bad for no reason.
Therefore, your argument in this case is not only off topic, but meaningless. Please, do you have anything more insightful to say?

Please see the rest of the topic then, as I would be curious as to your views on the game balance as a whole, in respects to my questions.

Nah, sorry. This is just a thread like there are thousands in the Forum. And nobody really wants to read this complains anymore.
You were just using OoO as a clickbait. Not dumping any time in discussing things that were already discussed numerous times here.
0 -
Maps should be fixed. Probably even gen speeds, but devs aren't willing to do that. Between the perks you listed, just DS should be changed ( 3 seconds stun and doesn't trigger if you are grabbed out of a locker ). OoO could be changed, but devs aren't gonna do that now with the Undetectable status effect coming into play. Some killers perks should be buffed, but same goes foor survivors.

No, I assure you that I was not using OoO as "Click Bait" the thread was a rant that was inspired by the first part.
Also, I am not complaining. I am pointing out things that do not make sense to me.
Also, wouldn't it stand to reason that if there are "Thousands" of threads like this, that it should hold some merit? At the very least because of how often it is mentioned? It proves it's not just one person being salty.

Your thoughts have been noted, though it is interesting that you didn't say much about the asymmetrical nature of the game or how the team can be overpowered to the point of "bullying" a Killer. Not that it always happens, but in a game like this, shouldn't it stand to reason that the team shouldn't just be able to roll over the guy on his own?
