I'll admit I was wrong
When they first tested the new Dying Light in the ptb and early on with its release, I felt it would be incredibly weak due to the fact that stacks would take a while and the obsession was basically a god.
After playing a decent number of games against it and with it, I have to say it's much stronger than expected. You can feel it's effects from the first hook and after the killer has a few, it turns gens into a complete slog.
Hell, I'm beginning to think Dying Light + Swing Chains can make even a mediocre Freddy player into a god. This might be one of the best perk buffs since Surveillance went from literally the worst perk into the game into the god send it is for people who know how to use and abuse the information it can provide.

Tbh it's still not incredibly strong. It has incredible potential however, paired with thana on plague for instance or even legion, and swing chains on Freddy. But on killers who don't rely on game slowdown or keeping people injured it doesn't really pair well. It's obviously good on nurse, spirit or billy as they can keep high pressure and get many hooks fast. But the main detriment to it is that you lose your stacks on the death of the obsession.
If the obsession through unhooks could decrease stacks, and you kept it on their death, along with they themselves being affected by the slowdown I think it would be the perfect perk.

All killers rely on game slowdown....

I meant as a default part of their kit. Freddy through swing chains, legion through mending, pig through hats and plague through cleansing etc. Other killers don't have inbuilt game slow down which is why some of them suffer (ie trapper leatherface wraith) or are incredibly strong in other ways (billy spirit nurse and base Freddy or even demo now I guess)
That's why ruins a good perk. Game slowdown for the killers that don't have it as part of their kit, or can't easily maintain map pressure
