My case for the new Killer

If the info I learned the last time there was discussion about the new killer was that there would not be a map or any survivors. And that, if the Twitter following is any indication, the killer might be a Stephen King character.

A lot of people said Pennywise, and that would be a fun pick, but I say, if hey are going to do an SK killer, the logical choice is Annie Wilkes from misery. My reasoning being:

1: She is a person, which the game has said i prefers.

2: There is no realistic map to tie her to. Her cabin is too small.

3: No survivor makes sense, because Paul Sheldon was in bed or in a wheelchair most of the time.

4: She hobbled him with a sledge hammer, which could be her weapon of choice, and her power could / should have something to do with injections since that is part of her history.

5: Hulu's second season of Castle Rock is launching this month and it features a YOUNG Annie Wilkes which means there is already a built in variety.

Anyway, like I said I mentioned it the last time it came up but seeing this new trailer really makes me think it's a possibility. What do you think?

I actually really like this idea a whole lot better than Pennywise. I fell in love with Stephen king at the age of 14, and IT happens to be one of my all time favourites, I enjoyed both of the movies.

But I really do not think they could represent Pennywise anywhere near accurately. I strongly feel it would just be a cash grab for something that is currently popular. But I'll admit, I'm not on the marketing team so my opinion is biased towards the faithfulness of the character.

Annie Wilkes (God bless Kathy Bates for nailing that role 10 times over) Is simple, very easy to create and you'd have to try very hard to mess up that character.

Thanks for the vote of confidence in my theory! And look how good Lizzy Kaplan is in the trailer as young Annie!

The mannerisms alone sent shivers down my spine. And I'm actually excited to see more about her past. She held my attention in the book and the movie (finished the damn book in one day) and by the looks of it, Kaplan will do the same.
