Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why did development implement a park called "Better Together"?

The development said that “the advantage gained by voice chat is less”.
However, the information obtained using "Better Together" is much less than the information obtained using voice chat.
That means "Better Together" is a useless park where you can't get the advantage.
Why did development implement such a garbage park?
Or did you say that the statement “There are few advantages gained by voice chat” was wrong?

I love love love this perk. Solo all the time and gives a lot of info and helps the team with info. Just have to be careful with survivors who try to lead the killer to you.. happens sometimes

It's useful because, unlike bond, it lets YOU communicate information without relying on others to run aura reading.

That said, it doesn't actually provide a benefit other than showing people where you are, so it's pretty much never worth wasting a slot on.

For solo survivors it is not bad info. If you’re working on a gen and someone goes down you see all survivors auras for 10 seconds. It’s nice to know if you should continue working on the gen or have to go for the save.

Survivors working on separate gens is actually the better strategy, especially during the beginning of the trial. The more spread out survivors are the harder it is for the killer to keep up pressure. So yeah this perk is Garbo even for solo players.

It still gives you information, which gen is already worked on. So at the beginning of the trial you can look for an other gen, while during the end, when there is only 1-2 gens left, you can work together on one.

I don't use the perk myself, but for me it is really helpful if someone else is using it to make right decisions.

Better Together + Prove Thyself ❤ and if the killer downed one, you see the position other survivor working on and reposition yourself for an relaxing endgame 😊

It obviously synergizes with stuff like Prove Thyself but it's also a way to show people what gen you're on even if they DON'T have bond, so they might not run the killer to you 😄

Better Together is meant for solo players, and it can act like an alternative to bond. If you see a gens aura, you can go toward it and speed up time by repairing it alongside them, or you can purposely move away from that gen if being chased by the killer. One slight tweak I would make to this perk is, is that the perk can show generators being worked on to the person using it within the same range— but that can compensated with the downed portion of it.

It’s very good in solo surviving.

This post seems more like a "we need voice chat in DBD" and not about the perk itself.

Seeing is always better than hearing but it's not an advantage over voice chat when everyone knows the maps and area's along with playing with people they can trust.

Better together gives solo players info they wouldn't normally be able to tell others about and doesn't have the side effect of someone shouting abuse, playing music down a Mic or saying your Mama jokes.

You can't use perks to close the gap between SWF and solo play, if that is the design intent. Perks as band-aids to fix perceived or real issues are a bad solution, because you cannot ensure that every player has access to these perks, nor is it reasonable to ask them to waste a perk slot on them.

Closing the gap has to be done at a base-kit level.

If I could ensure everyone else would run Better Together I'd like it more but atm Bond is better to me. Lets me avoid the teammates on gens in a chase and steer the killer towards survs who obviously aren't helping.
