I know camping is a legitimate technique, but that doesn't stop it from being pathetic.

However you look at it even facecamping can be a legitimate strategy. A lot of you will disagree but I will always do it if 1+ Survivors swarm the hook.

While I personally find tunneling much more annoying than camping, both are perfectly valid tactics.
The way people should really see camping is that’s they are giving their team time to do generators. If your teammates want to waste time on a camped survivor that’s on them. Camping is very punishable, but nobody seems to believe that it is punishable... for some reason. The only killer that can “Facecamp” per se is Leatherface. Annoying? Yes. Preventable? Yes. Punishable if it happens? You know it!
Punishing a killer over something that is already very situational, gets punished in the emblems system and works only when their opponents allow it to is flat out dumb, rewarding survivors for it arguably even more so, considering that when the first survivor gets camped, 4 gens could get done in that time by the remaining 3 survivors and that’s not even taking into consideration if gens were already done when the camped survivor got caught. Camping, while somewhat lame for the hooked, should be considered a positive thing overall for the team. Yeah, losing a member sucks, but would you rather snowball into a 4K or see the remaining three destroy the camper with genrushing? Seems pointless adding penalties to something that already has a huge downside.

My problem with camping is simple.
As long as it is part of the current meta so will DS, BT, Syringe Squads, Gen Rush squads.
Survivors (Especially at red ranks) will come prepared.
Tunneling and Camping have the potential to be a strategy but don’t fool yourself into thinking that if that’s the only thing you do, you will win the match.

It is a legitimate strategy if you wish. But this has no interest in gameplay, it is absolutely not desirable.
If killers want a face/camping simulator, devs can create a special mode for them with bots.
Survivors want a dynamic and strategic game, not a wallpaper where you have to wait, destroy your bar space, and watch yourself die.
This "strategy" still needs to be punished and limited only to situations truly legitimate.
And I do not agree that this "strategy" is currently punishable by survivors. For SWFs, yes. It's not at all the same thing solo.

I rather the facecamped than face 5 minutes of bleeding on the ground.

Teabagging has literally 0 use in game, camping is a strat, it's just a really scummy strat most of the time. it sucks, but you can't say it doesn't have use in game.

Which happens like 90% of the time in solo Q lol. Solo Q is filled with idiots nowadays.

I can solve this in one perk

Camping before one gen is done

Not to defend camping (fully agree its a valid yet scummy strat) but to put a "point" on the BBQ thing, most of the time you won't get an aura from BBQ because everyone is either within 40m/hiding behind a generator or in a locker. Most people actually do run BBQ for the BP and not the aura. The aura is merely a bonus to the BP stacking.

I do eat it and just catch them again, but that doesn’t change the perk being used to troll or make up for bad play rather than being “anti-slug”.

Its also pathetic abusing infinite loops, but no one talks about that.

There are no infinite loops anymore. There are really powerful loops, but none of them are infinite
