we get that all people can be toxic and cheat, but in all honesty, its a bigger occurring issue among survivors than killers.

this report system is for everyone, and should be made better to make the game experience better as whole.

Because it's 4 survivors in every game to 1 killer so the chances of getting someone toxic are increased.

Its not the devs task to show the players how to behave .. if you are streaming or just using the internet you need to accept that there are people that likes to insult other persons and if that hurts so you or your wife so bad then is the internet not the right place for you.

Its hard but you need to accept that and there is no way anyone can change that.

This is the dumbest response to a post i've ever seen in my life. It is not the dev's responsibility to show players how to behave. It is absolutely the responsibility of dev's to address harassment, inappropriate behavior, etc. which are direct violations of their tos. If it where not then there would be no reporting system in the first place or the option to report harassment. I also don't need to accept anything. I'm not going to comment on this reply any further cause it's just the stupidest thing i've ever read.

Why do you or your wife care what some random idiots think on the internet or in a game? Get a grip and get on with your life. It's just words. Move on.

Its not about caring what the other person is saying (although if you want to talk ######### to me that's one thing but bring my wife or child into the mix, that's another) but by not working to prevent this behavior in their game the Devs are allowing it to grow.

If you don't warn/punish people who go out of their way to spew hate and harassment you allow the behavior to rot and fester into an environment no one will enjoy.

So again its not about getting "hurt feelings" about what someone said but working towards a community we can all enjoy without that behavior.

Someone who feels the need to do that literally eats, sleeps, and breathes Dead by Daylight. People get so devoted to this game that their escapes/kills become the biggest accomplishment of their day to day life. It's honestly sad. It's never fun to come across people who are sourpusses in DBD, or any game but the internet is a giant mix up of the worlds population. We're unfortunatley going to have to deal with the buttocks of it every now and then.
You happened to get put in a match against one of these misfits, and he moaned and whined when he didn't get his way. I'm sorry you had to deal with the fallout of his tantrum, but I can assure you most people who do stuff like this aren't anything to be concerned about. Just a bunch of crybabies. A block is the best course of action, unless you feel genuinely threatened. I was told by a killer to slit my wrists all because I found the hatch before him. I never did anything to warrant this response, but I just reported him and moved on with my day. Now, if he kept trying to come for me and threaten me? THAT'S a different story. I'd also definitely peace out during the end game chat phase. Nothing but vitriol. That or just ggs/silence. You're really not missing out on much.

That post wasn't bad. He told him the truth. The internet is a bad place with bad people who don't have to change. Developers don't have to deal with peoples behaviour but they can punish them for it.

@thomasnut Stop playing the victim card and saying your are being attacked. You are not. You just need to deal with things differently than you are.

    @Orion You are an idiot.

After reading this and the insult to orion I rest my case. It's gotten so bad These kind's of people can directly insult people even openly on the forums because they have no fear of reprisal.

There is nothing i can say nor any example greater than this that the dev's really need to start doing their jobs. I need not say anymore.

    Good day

I believe you have your streamer name as your steam profile name, you might want to consider changing that. It hurts your self promotion, but it should cut down on the harassment suffered by you or your spouse on the third party website known as twitch.tv

This is actually pretty good advice and i may have to do that. I have been using the name for 25 years cause i got tired of every name i try to use already being taken.

I really don't want to change it because i've built my viewer base with it and have no other issues when I stream any other game but this one.

As a variety streamer and the many many games i love to play and stream there is only one of them that is toxic. Dbd is 100x more toxic then all the other games i play and stream combined. That is pretty sad really.

Then u haven't played Overwatch yet. Makes you wanna choke yourself xD. But that's understandable since that game is unbalanced, buggy and for the most part pretty bad

I am not going too much into detail about how the nazi's gained power in the 1920's to 1933, since they were only words as well.

A far stretch to compare end game chat to what a bunch of lunatics did but theirs were "just words" in the beginning.

I also need to add these comments were made in the game chat window after the match, not in my stream. This behavior needs to be addressed and these people removed from the player base.

Just leave the game after. You are not being forced to read it

That is a solution to the symptom, but how about we fix the damn problem instead of letting these little pissants do what ever the hell they please?

There are actually people in this thread telling people to "toughen up" and saying "why would you care what a stranger on the internet thinks".
This is harassment. Stop attacking people who are being harassed. Comments like these have appreciable effects on people's mental health.

They aren't breaking any laws by insulting people.

    Get a grip.

And yet they play murder simulators.

If they are that sensitive, they shouldn't be playing such a game if words affect their mental health.

Death threats are in fact Illegal, how about you get a clue?

Why are you ALWAYS so confrontational? How about you stop telling people how to feel and act, and maybe just mind your own business if you haven't got anything to say that is in fact a helpful solution to the topic?

Oh, did the person who started this topic state that he or his wife received death threats? Then they should be reported to the police and dealt with accordingly, that's abhorrent. He definitely shouldn't be coming to a forum and posting about his experience.

Other than that, the helpful solution is to ignore and block and move on with your life. Okay? :)
