Tired of dying on my first hook
its getting increasingly more common and more frustrating as it goes on, I don’t want to die on my first hook because the other survivors just don’t feel like saving me. I would understand if I was being camped but I’m not. I’m rank 11 so it’s not like they’re new and too scared to get me...

Tons of killers have been camping first hook at 5 gens recently so people are starting to rush gens and ignore everything else. That's my guess. Maybe try Kindred for a while and see if people use the provided information properly.

Kindred is good, Deliverance is even better if you have access to it.

I wish Kindred without the killer aura were base kit. I'm tired of being on my first hook watching three people around the map not even glance in my general direction because they all assume someone else is gonna try for it.
To be fair, I've also been on the other side of that, where the hooked person didn't have Kindred equipped, and as I started to go for the rescue I saw someone else closer running in that direction so I went back to working on a gen... only for the hooked person to get sacrificed.

I sadly haven’t been able to find deliverance :( got the teachable in the shrine a while back but hasn’t showed up in any webs yet

If you're not SWF and someone doesn't have Kindred equipped, the entire team suffers for it. It's kinda ridiculous.
Hell, even as killer, I want survivors to be rescued. That way I can get points for hooking them again. No one should die by accident on their first hook.

Yea it really sucks to have to use a perk slot. On a plus, if you use deliverance or slippery meat and get off the hook it will add to your achievements! Usually if I am frustrated with something in game I'll switch builds than switch back later. Like right now its slugging, so its like tenacity and unbreakable baby here we go :D lol Just try to make the most of it, and when its not as annoying to you, switch em up again. :) I'm sure sooner enough you'll find better teammates more often you won't need to use it so much. (but never know...)

my teammates pushed the last gen and just went to the door while I died on first hook. I feel ya

Might I suggest getting deliverance. It helps when you have useless teammates who won't get you.

Have you tried using Kindred or try not being found by the Killer?

I run kindred in my solo build.
And I still get left on hook to die.
Even after I saved everyone at least once.

One suggestion to ALL solo que Survivors. Wait to finish last gen til anybody hooked is saved. Im a killer main and if someone pops the 5th gen, I'm securing the kill because I no longer have an objective and I'm not leaving a sure kill to patrol gates.
So just leave the gen at 95% til everybody is off of hooks.

I rather go 99 the gate than wait for the last gen. If I'm feeling up for a impossible rescue, I'll go do it. Especially if it's someone whose helped me in the game, I'll go die w him, or her.

You risk facing NOED, Rancor, etc. This makes a save after 5th gen less appealing for SOLOS. I know if I'm solo and someone is being camped after 5 gens, I don't want to rush in for the save.
Maybe In a team but I disagree for solo

But what if it's 3 gen? Or risk POP? NOED is always a risk regardless. Rancor isn't widely used. The decision here can be game ending.
Without first hand knowledge, I'm going to finish the gen.
I'm also a totem cleanser w small game.
I like the shock to see the killer's NOED not activate. And smile when I see that NOED at the end screen.
