Who Here Actually Uses Blood Stains to Track Their Victims?
How the hell do you even see it through all the muck and mire? All homo sapiens are colorblind on some level. Some birds can see ultra-violet, which is a fourth primary color that we cannot see, but even birds cannot play Wraith and effectively track blood stains in DBD. Plus, their wings put them at a major disadvantage.
I also just tried Bloodhound. Useless on maps except Lery's and the sort.

Hey there, I use blood. Scratch marks help but can be used to juke you if you’re only focused on them, Blood can’t. It just takes a like practice to spot it on certain maps, but it’s absolutely doable and very helpful at getting you catches you might of missed if you hadn’t noticed it.

I use it sometimes. You probably won't spot any blood unless you're looking for it, but it can be very useful if you lost track of an injured survivor for any reason

Kind of a mix of both blood and scratch marks , but I most often look for blood under lockers if I've lost an injured survivor.

I second what @Daniel101773 said. Especially when a survivor gets some distance and stops running so they don't leave scratch marks. Plenty of times would there still be blood for me to follow and find them hiding in a corner.

I do at times. Even on dark and murky maps.

I use it to track when I can. The other day I was playing as Leatherface on Coldwind, happened to notice some blood on the ground (I was quite pleased with myself about that; blood blends pretty well on that brown dirt), walked around the haystack and found an injured survivor crouching on the other side.
I used to use Bloodhound all the time when I first started playing. Still do, occasionally; it makes it nearly impossible to lose an injured survivor.

Depends if scratch marks are recent and not running cold suddenly stop, then I start looking for a blood trail and most of the time you can find it unless you are on maps like the swamp and a couple of other maps but it can help some times

I have never, ever been able to use blood to track survivors. I barely even see it, most of the time.

Uhh i find it pretty easy.
Scratchmarks just stand out more.

Tell me why you are all lying (except for Rydog). My TV is big. I'm getting a selective sample of people who are keeping their mouths shut due to shame in this matter. Well, there is no need for shame. You know as well as I do it's near impossible to track Survivors on Backwater Swamp.
"Bloodhound" brightness should be at least halfway the standard. And the real "Bloodhound" should have bright red footprints that accompany the blood splatters.
In any case, I used Bloodhound on Pig and got 3k cause they were noobs. Doesnt mean the perk did diddly.

I use bloodtracking sometimes. Remember, blood always leads exactly to the survivor so it can't be very easy to track otherwise survivor would be screwed if they wanted to juke the killer.
I'm still waiting for that anti blood perk for survivors so that I can ascend to full untrackable ninja mode.

I use both, though a word of warning. You see that blood in front of the locker? They prolly have Head-on. Approach with care.

Rarely use it, as others have said if they gain a lot of distance and stop leaving tracks but I usually track by sound anyway. In order of what I use it’s sound, scratchmarks then blood if there’s no other option, tends to work best on concrete maps like the game.

running sloppy butcher in the game map or the hospital is a great idea cuz the floor is bright and u can easily see the blood, and with sloppy there'll be even more blood

Its really only visible to me if I just lost scratch marks. I've places to patrol, gens to kick. Can't look in every corner. That's what audio is for.

I do fine but it's a bit difficult to track through the swamp :P

Audio is how i track and then i use blood if the scratch marks are gone or if they are unclear as to which direction the survivor went. I also look for blood when multiple people are injured and are using iron will. Blood stands out to me but its not the main way i will track you when i can literally hear you walking, breathing, and running.

For me it's easier to follow blood stains with sloppy butcher and even easier if you run bloodhound as well. Unless you use predator that makes scratch marks easier to track.

Bloodhound is amazing and it's a default of mine, paired with sloppy butcher (which isn't necessary) injured survivors never escape

I think it exists with a fair king perk, you just need be broken all game

Apparently you can smack them if you hit just before they use it.
You'll still get stunned, but they go down.

I do but only on certain maps where they are easier to see, otherwise I just track by sound or predict where they would go.

Why would you not track with blood?
Blood is more precise than scratch marks.

I do, for sure. I love Bloodhound.
It doesn't really work on the Swamp Maps, but it works wonderfully on the others.

ummm... If you are using Bloodhound then you should have no trouble tracking blood, I used it all the time with Sloppy on Wraith and it's a very underrated perk IMO. The blood becomes neon red, which on maps like Swamp are hard too see, but most maps is stands out very much.
I also do use blood too track people, especially if they are urban evading with Iron Will. It just takes some practice too know when too use blood and when too use scratch marks.

Scratch marks can often be unreliable however the bloodstains don't lie about which direction you went

Never in my life have i tracked using blood. I must be blind because i never even see it. Like I'll see the initial blood from where I hit the survivor. And then nothing. Ive sat and done circles before trying to check for any signs. Nope. Im blind.

I use blood to track all the time, not hard to see. It helps that I increased the colour saturation on my monitor, though. I recommend that to everyone who has problems with scratchmarks/blood.

Blood is pretty hard to see in alot of maps, but when you play killer enough, you know how to mindlessly spot it. It's pretty weird being able to spot blood as well as I do now. Thanks Sloppy Butcher. You've taught me much.

Due to color blindness, I don't see scratch marks or blood unless indoors. They appear as a dark grey to black spot on the floor of The Game. I hunt by anticipation and movement.

I would get all of wraiths perks but just trying to prioritize getting other perks. Before i touch the bing bong boi.
