So if SWF now is not dodgeable...
Hide secret offerings, pls.
Its not fair that mori’s are still dodgeable, but swf is not.

How is it not dodgeable anymore?

You join a lobby and already see all survivors (nearly always).
You cannot determine is it swf or just 4 solo players.
0 -
well, you still can.
its just that now everyone is in the lobby at the same time, so you can no longer judge weather its a SWF by them joining together.
also, yeah that offering part should be added, honestly...

lobby dodging is for sissy's although I understand 4 toolboxes
1 -
Heh, 4 toolboxes + prove thyself + low tier killer like Clown + no Ruin = exit gates are powered in less than 4 minutes.
Yeah, I agree if the Killer avoids survivors like that.
0 -
Why dodge them anyway? I’ve never dodged swf.
14 -
I personally don’t wanna play vs cheaters with voice chat which can be considered as 5th perk slot.
3 -
Peanits has confirmed that voice comms aren’t cheating.
19 -
It’s just legalized.

@aztecmite SWF and it's advantages are here to stay. If you are going to continue to play the killer role you have to accept you will encounter them. Especially during prime time play hours when people are not working.
Use all the tools you can to fight them until the end. Sometimes they screw up, especially so if they waste time trying to annoy you or make risky plays.
I understand your frustration but they are not going anywhere, so just do your best.
6 -
Which means that by the very definition of the word, it's not cheating. If it makes you feel any better, the stats around SWF survival rates don't at all reflect this notion that it's super overpowered and throws the game off-balance.
7 -
Same with using a crosshair, still doesnt change that its a ######### thing to do
2 -
it may not be technically cheating but you are basically getting nearly all the aura reading perks for survivors FOR FREE with comms SWF. which makes the survivors have 5+ perks each vs the killers locked at 4

pepega

Of course they say that. They don't play against it, at least not as regularly as we do. The salt has yet to seep in.
1 -
Not every dev is in low ranks.
5 -
Green doesn't count.
0 -
Not every dev is in green, yellow, brown, or grey ranks.
0 -
Why would you dodge them in the first place? Man up mate, please
1 -
Peanits is a red rank killer actually and plays a lot of Huntress.
He's played the same people we have.
5 -
If you're gonna call it cheating despite it being explicitly stated to not be cheating you might wanna just find another game to play. That's just a recipe for pointless and unproductive frustration about something that will never be changed in a way that satisfies you.
5 -
Me neither, it's not like you loss BP if you have a less the great game. And some times you have a great one and you just know they fuming.
1 -
Just check their Steam profiles. If they're friends, find a new lobby. EZ.
1 -
SWF does suck but it's not going anywhere. Most SWF players aren't the super organized team that you think they are. They are just people that like to play with friends. A lot of times they are easy to beat because they go for the save almost immediately. Also, if you eliminate swf then we would lose a decent portion of the player base which is the one thing that could end this game.
2 -
Oh yeah, hide all offerings too. Would stop a lot of dc's.
0 -
Yeah I guess you can't cherry pick your matches as easy.
2 -
This.
This would allow me to use all my Haddonfield Offerings in one week. :> Have like 100 of them.
0 -
Can we make survivor map offerings worth less than a killer's map offering
0 -
Oh yeah, eliminate all Haddonfield offering too :)

I think all killer offerings should be hidden no matter what. I've always felt that way.
I wouldn't be opposed to all offerings being hidden from the opposite side as well, the only reason I've felt it was fun up til now is it allows the Lone Player to prepare mentally for what the survs set up but honestly most people just use it to DC on the loading screen (or if they're especially vindictive, the moment they load in so that the offering is lost to the survs)
1 -
Secret offerings should be hidden as there is so few of them.
I also wouldn't be against all offerings being hidden apart from blood point ones as people dc with certain map offerings.
I think the game should be accepted for what it is and no one should be able to cherry pick what they verse.

Those complains only come from people who never were able to determine if survivors were SWF in first place, just assuming they were, even if they were four solos. Survs used to join alltogther before. Nothing new about that. People playing a multiplayer game and getting salty over voicecoms is hilarious. No multiplayer is able to exclude voicecoms in any way. If you arent good enough to face them its your fault, not their fault, neither BHVRs fault.

I personally no longer care because I've been playing since day 1 and no longer need to BP grind.
However for people trying to grind ranks, grind BP or who want a more casual game where a group of SWF could add a huge sway in the match, they might want to dodge.
While comms is not cheating it does grant the team a massive advantage during the match being able to communicate so much information instantly and essentially giving your whole team a load of perks for free. Because DBD was not created with SWF in mind many of the games mechanics/perks/killer powers can be circumvented (to an extent or entirely) with the use of comms.
I also do not wish to see SWF leave the game because there are many teams who simply play survivor casually for fun too. However even the casual SWF teams still hold an advantage over a group of solos most of the time.
At the end of the day until they can figure out how to balance the disparity of solo vs SWF (and adjust killers accordingly) there will always be this annoyance with facing SWF groups.

I still gotta upgrade Plague, demo and ghostface so I can get their perks on LF, still don’t dodge and didn’t ever dodge.
I sometimes put Franklin’s in my build when I notice but that’s it.

Is not about legal or illegal, you want randoms because its easier to you and thats it, you prefer to hook someone and then 3 guys go for the save leaving what they were doing, all kind of crap happens when there is no communication at all except 2 dumb signs.
Game is never 4 vs 1 anyway, survs dont have the individual power to fight a killer so its 1 vs 1 + 1 + 1 + 1.
0 -
Sure, until you see someone getting moried.
0 -
If you Dodge all the way to red ranks I'm sure it does feel unbalanced when a killer who doesn't belong there tries to face a good squad, the same people that complain about SWF at red ranks are the same people who Dodge their way up then wonder why they can't hang lol it's because you shouldn't be at that rank , grow a pair and ready up because you'll never get better by dodging or coming here to pout and if you don't win the match you'll be depipped just like you should've been
0 -
all offering should be secret, PERIOD.
anotherwords, you have no idea what's in play until you either reason it out or see the post game.
1 -
Just check the friendlist of each player and search for their names, then you will know if SWF or not. It's a bit annoying but the only way now. If all profiles are private it's very likely SWF as well, I dodge those mostly.

Meh, all you need to really look for is the items being used. If you can identify each persons role clearly you can assume they are swf. Solos are typically self concerned so its either toolbox or medkit. When you see a map, a key, a toolbox and a medkit or something similar you should assume the survivors are a team. If they use no items it could still be a team but they are self handicapping which makes it much more reasonable to play against.

Voice comms isn't cheating.
