Best Killer to play for Beginners?
I'm asking more so for a friend who doesn't want to make an account for the forum, but I also would like to know considering I play more Survivor than Killer. My friend just started playing on Friday and already knows that he wants to be a Killer main because he "doesn't like the feeling of being chased" xD. Please give us some insight, thanks guys and gals 💜

I personally would recommend Wraith. His power is simple to use, scores lots of BP if you can land a hit after cloak, and it's easy for him to track and find survivors. He's also free.
There many killers better suited to more specific strategies, but for getting to know the basics of killer, he's the one I'd go with.

Trapper, he teaches new survivors that map pressure is important and also he's the most basic form of M1 killer so you can quite quickly learn how to chase and things like that.

His two tracking perks, Predator and Bloodhound, help in addition to his base toolkit. Predator shouldn't be used for too long, its effects can ultimately be counterproductive, but it helps make scratch marks much more coherent and easy to follow for newbies.
Bloodhound, especially with Sloppy Butcher, will make it easier to track blood. He also gets a common add-on, "The Hound", that makes blood even easier to spot. Like Predator, shouldn't be used for too long as it will inhibit development of the player's own tracking skills, but it really helps to get the basics down at first.

Any one of the OG three. Billy is not as noob-friendly as the other two, but he's not extremely difficult either and he is the most powerful of the three. Wraith and Trapper are easy to learn but play very differently. I would give him a brief description of their powers, and tell him to choose whichever one appeals most to him.

Trapper and Wraith are great starters ! Learning to use M1 and gaining the knowledge of tiles and maps will take a bit of time !
Also if your friend wants a DLC, then Leatherface is also a great idea, since the grind will be much easier thanks to BBQ. His power is pretty straight to the point and doesn't require to be a pro at low ranks.

As long as your friend knows that trapping the killer shack is always a good idea and putting traps in grass near pallets/gens then he'll do well as the Trapper.

But Predator does sound very newbie friendly especially with tracking, I did hear him mention a lot of losing sight or a survivor disappearing on him his first few games. I believe he was playing the Doctor because (whispers) I recommended him D: I should've just came here first. Lol
I'll make sure to mention the disclaimer about how it can slow down his progress when it comes to the objective of pressure though. Thank you again!

Even I am afraid to attempt to play Billy, I have so much respect for Billy players because of how difficult it seems to "steer" with him during a chainsaw. I think Wraith is probably the best choice. Thank you!

Leatherface huh? Hmm.. Bubba does seem like a good recommendation. His power isn't too difficult to adjust too, just the positioning and keeping in mind when its safe/okay to chainsaw. I know he is a cheaper DLC in PS Store too. I'll make sure to mention this to him, thank you!!

Yep, that's why I recommend Wraith. Finding targets and sticking to them is going to be a newbie killer's biggest challenge, Wraith's power, perks, and add-ons are all about those things.
The specific downside of Predator tightening scratch marks is that, although it makes them into a much clearer trail, it pulls them in. That little patch of scratches appearing offset on a wall or a tree can make a big difference to an experienced killer and you won't get them while using the perk.
Wraith is the only killer that has legit training wheels on their kit. You'll want to kick them off eventually, but they're great for learning the fundamentals.
Doctor's actually not a bad choice, you can find people just by wandering around in treatment mode at the start of a match, but there's more to juggle and be aware of. Once your dude gets a handle on the basics, he'll be able to play anyone he wants.

Hm, I'm kinda scared to recommend Myers. I feel like he'd spend too much time moonwalking and stalking people xD Plus with chases I feel he'd lose his EW3 alot if he can't catch up to em. Thanks anyway though!!

Playing as a Wraith becomes hard at higher ranks. I recommend the Clown. His power makes it possible to easy counter palletloop.

Wraith is the best for beginners. And then probably Hillbilly.

He should go with spirit, pass through the pain of learning but then having a real killer that is not loopable.
The real secret to this game is to control gens while not wasting time chasing survivors.
Spirit has both, good mobility, she removes loops put of the equation and once he will learn her he will be able to verse even strong survivors.
M1 killers are a waste of time

Wraith & Trapper are very beginner-friendly.

Wraith, trapper, and hillbilly. If he wants to spend a few dollars I would suggest Leatherface who has great perks. BBQ make sure your life way easier and franklins demise is good too. He should be your first dlc simply for bbq but you might get lucky and see it in the shrine

Trapper is the best, you get knowledge about looping, understanding survivor behavior, and so forth
Wraith is also good but he can mess you up when playing other killers. This is due to the fact while cloaked he has no TR so you won't learn how to move around the map with a TR and how to predict and expect what survivors will do when they hear you
Both are great killers for beginners and just great in general

I would say wraith not trapper or billy. Trappers traps could get confusing to new players and Billy’s chainsaw is just kind of difficult.

I remember never recloaking in my first match though, thought it was pointless xD

The game's difficulty rating is a complete joke. You cant tell me with a strait face that Billy (easy) is easier to learn than Wraith (intermediate), or that Huntress(intermediate) is easier to learn than Myers(Hard)...

Are you suggesting it is easier to pick up and use Billy's chainsaw than it is to pick up and use Wraith or Myers?

if they won’t, I will. Billy’s chainsaw is not that hard and his speed using the chainsaw leaves room to make several mistakes. All you really have to worry about is steering him while he runs, wraith you have to position, uncloak, smack, and chase. Myers you actually have to charge his evil within to make him deadly and he starts with downsides- you have to know the map. With billy you really don’t, you just have to see someone . And keep in mind they’ll be playing people of equal skill

I started with Billy and got the basics down with him. Ironically I only play Billy for dalies now.
