So i keep noticing every now and then, I'll fast vault over a window, it makes the "loud" noise thing yet my character still does the slow animation. It might be ping but it happens so often in green ping games... I've sorta tested this thing out and it seems like it only happens if you don't run to the window straight on, so running at it and pressing space sorta at a diagonal angle seem to make this weird animation glitch happen.

it happens to me. i try to fast vault but she slowly vaults through the window and makes the noise. this really messes me up when im being chased. because the dev are stupid and don't wanna fix how windows work. this whole patch was just made for the killer

Yeah quick and quiet seems to help a little too

You’re talking about fast vaulting, it isn’t a big but a strategy to understand and practice, it helps as killer to know if I can hit them or not, but if you’re gonna run through a window, run straight on to get the fastest result :chuffed:

Running straight into a window and vaulting will result in faster vaulting than doing so in other way. That how it works.

@GT_Legend2 i dont think you quite understand what im trying to say

Im talking about how it preforms the slow animation YET still notifying the killer with the noise, if you sprint and go over not straight ahead and far away its silly and seems like a bug to me.

You dont have to do that with any of the other things with fast interactions.

@Slimette Yes, that’s what makes windows unique in terms of vaulting. Unlike pallets, they cannot be destroyed. But they have a limited 3 vault for a survivor during a chase. They also have the fast/slow vault ability as well

They only recently discovered the new pallet drop animation was strange after slowing it down. Perhaps it is a bug and if you can capture it in slow motion then the devs can look into it.

It might also be the fact that the sound queue is tied into the key combination of sprint + vault regardless of animation speed

You need to run in a straight line to the window to fast vault, if you run parallel to the window wall and then you vault, even if you are running, it will slow vault and make noise like if it was fast.

Example: you are running around killer shack on the outside, circling it and you try to vault the window to go inside the shack, if you dont make like a small move to the outside before vaulting the window, it will slow vault.

@inkedsoulz my point is WHY does this happen not how >_<

Its to prevent infinites from occuring ( its when a killer is physically unable to catch a survivor no matter what ).

And that is the medium vault. the slow vault is when you silently vault the window.

And it is an intended mechanic of the windows.
