Doctor Sleep Chapter?
So a friend of mine mentioned that around 2:21 of the trailer music for Doctor Sleep sounds like the main riff of the Dead by Daylight theme. I can hear it at first but then it changes on the third note so I'm not sure. If this were the case it'd explain the Stephen King following by the devs

To be clear, I'm doubtful because the whole riff isn't the same and the iconic riff tends to always match perfectly. With only the first 3 notes lining up I don't really see this being accurate. I just thought I'd bring it to other people's attention since it was brought to mine

Doctor Sleep is the sequal book to "The Shining" by Stephen King. They're releasing a movie for it in November

I haven't read it yet so I can't tell you who Doctor Sleep is though
This is more a friend's theory. He noticed it yesterday when we were waiting to watch the IT sequel and saw the trailer and is certain that the 3 notes at 2 21 are proof that this is why the devs are getting in touch with Stephen King.
The more I listen though, the more I think it might just be a coincidence. I wanted to post this to see who agreed with me and who agreed with him.

King has a lot of stuff going on so that's not certain.
Penny from the book wouldn't work but they heavily changed the lore for the movie so... I can kinda see it working even if I wouldn't be super thrilled with the kinda limitations Penny would have in the game (nor the lore implications)
Pennywise is certainly the money maker of the group though so I wouldn't be shocked if that's what the devs went for

Could be, I haven't seen the movie in ages though so I'm not sure. Most of my Shining memories are from reading the book when I was far too young to be allowed near anything King made.

They were answering my initial question. The point of the post in the first place was a friend of mine thinking that the music in the video hinted at the DBD theme (and me being uncertain) but it turned out to be the opening Riff for the Shining theme

That I can tell there's no references to the DBD theme in anything IT related :/
We should find out what we're getting DBD wise fairly soon though. If I'm remembering correctly the next chapter should release in December which means will probably start getting teasers and info on it next month

Dr Sleep is little Danny from The Shining, all grown up. Not sure how this would translate to DBD, I'd classify this under "highly unlikely". ;)
