Your views on changing the Nurse
This is not another "I love it/I hate it thread". I'm asking YOU, how would YOU change the Nurse to make her "fair". In my opinion, as in opinion of any other normal player, her base kit wa fine, and only her addons were the problem.
But, since they want to change her, how would you do it, to also make her... Refreshed? I think it is a good word. Personally, if they want to touch her, I think they should make her a little different from what she was. In the PTB we just have the same killer, but nerfed.

I would make only her chain blinks rechargeable and her first blink always here, so she doesn't have to wait for her first blink to charge up.

honestly I understand the Add on changes, but base kit wasn't really needed, now we are going to be hit by so many spirits in high ranks :/

Any good nurse main realizes her gameplay is basically unaffected :/
It is such a mild cooldown. Good survivors can keep you in a Chase like 5 seconds longer oh no...

They described it in a most confusing way.
There is a recharge on blinks by if you blink twice and swing you need to only wait about a second until you have both blinks back after your fatigue.
They need to fix some broken stuff like that speed addons that lags your game.

Normalise her strenght by actually reducing the differences between killer tiers.
By buffing all other killers.

Increase her walk speed

That is confirmed a bug. Nurse's recharge time should start only at the start of the fatigue.

I mean saying that you just as any other normal player thinks her Base kit was fine sounds quite judgemental honestly.
I think the nerf is great, gives survivors more time to break LOS which is what they need if they want to have any kind of counterplay. I would however increase her movement speed to 100%.
0 -
Really? Good to know. They honestly should make that intended. At least if they don't increase her movement speed to 100%.

no one asked for this base kit change and they still done it. just stupid.

That would be a good compromise between DbD players, and the whiners, I think. Although, they will still complain. Or, what's worse, they will move onto another killer, like Spirit (which is happening), Demo, or someone else.

Her first blink is always mostly ready as soon as fatigue ends, the second one is the problem.
It might lead to survivors outrunning the max blink distance if the nurse doesnt use the recharge addon.

Still don't see much change honestly. Still seems like normal Nurse. Just with a recharge mechanic.
I don't find her much different than before. She's just more fair is all.
People are still good with her as well.

There definitely were people who wanted some change to her base kit.

I would not change her basekit and I would change some of the addons that got changed to something else other than "you blinked past someone, they scream and you get 100 BP" into something ACTUALLY USEFUL, also buff the pink addons a bit since they are pink and should be SUPER STRONG, also addons like "blink attack disable your power and makes you a 4.6 M/S killer" or how it should actually be said as "doing a blink attack nerfs you into a M1 killer without a power for 60 seconds" BP bonus addons and addons like this which is actually a nerf and not a buff to the nurse using addons is stupid. I would break the mold of her having X amount of addons for easier balance and promote use of BASE KIT NURSE AND REVERT BACK TO BASE KIT NURSE (no blink charges) because BASEKIT NURSE IS FINE

I'm still against any form of nerf to the basekit, but if they wanted to give more counterplay to survivors they could've slightly increased fatigue instead of creating this whole blink recharge bullshit. Like why are they overcomplicating a simple issue? It's so weird.

thats pretty much already the case though.
when you come out of your fatigue, you literally have to wait .5 seconds to be able to blink again, which is pretty much nothing.
you just gotta wait 3 more if you wanna blink twice.

I am a Hag main.
If I wanted to change Nurse, I would ask Nurse mains how to go about it. They have more experience playing the killer than I do.
Any decisions I make on the matter might not be as effective in lowering her overpowered status while still making the changes feel fair for the players.
The demogorgon is generally held as a very good and balanced killer.
This might have happened because of the players they had come visit the office as consultants... we may never know.
But we can be sure that if the devs want to change something as ingrained in the game as the Nurse, they probably should have talked to Nurse mains about their direction and sought additional advice.

Revert all changes and simply make her extra blinks have longer fatigue (NO COOLDOWN). So for each additional blink, the fatigue is longer for each one she uses. This would heavily penalize mistakes and then give survivors a better chance to juke and hide.

I'd do exactly what they did. The change now forces Nurse to be more efficient and considerate with blinks, and it gives survivors a chance to get out of dead zones if they are caught in them. Nurse is still the best killer in the game, but her ceiling is lowered, if only a little bit.

I'd like it if she had normal move speed and a 15-20 second recharge on her blink.
0 -
Blink recharge would make sense if they didn't remove most of the extra blink addons. Just give her longer fatigue, it's weird to have 2 separate cooldowns.
0 -
Yep, three seconds base fatigue would've been acceptable.

Nurse needed to be changed sooner or later, i dont like the changes but i guess we will all have to endure them

I think once the shock of it wears off people will enjoy the new nurse on both sides. I think the (current live) nurse (and maybe spirit) need to be brought a little closer to billy/huntress tier. Hopefully some of the weaker killers can be brought up a little too. I would love to see an add on rework for wraith, and bubba... Bubba needs some general TLC.
I doubt that there will ever be perfect balance for killers, but lessening the divide between the good and the bad will be healthy for the game. Once killers are brought in line then we can truly evaluate the power of survivors and tune them to where they need to be.

Point of view of console player here.
I play on Xbox so the Nurse was never good for me. She's pretty hard to use. And on console you almost never see her played.
So, the changes aren't really going to do much for us. The add on that gives her better movement speed might make her playable on console assuming you can keep it active. Her being so slow and requiring precise blinks using a controller? Lol, she's never been good for console players. It might help if we had an indication of where our blinks would land.

Revert base kit changes, change addons more. Nobody complained about the base kit, only addons. lmao.

You forgot the part of map pressure. You just simply can't protect gens as before, it takes double if not triple as long to get from point A to point B.
Injuring a survivors gives them so much distance that you have to do at least 2 blink circles. Not even including if the survivor is good at LoS blocking at complex structures which gives him even more distance since they can continue running while you simply can't effort to do 2 quick blinks around the structure to scout possible position (otherwise you are in 6 seconds cooldown which gives the survivor again a lot of time to make distance).
Just closing distance is massively nerfed, good survivors already were able to take full advantage with LoS blocking unless it's a bad map.
I can't even imagine how Lerry's or other indoor maps are gonna be, I will probably won't even bother and just dc from that (I never DCed on those map, I took them as challenge. But with new nurse it's not a challenge anymore, it's like playing on haddonfield as an M1 killer against survivors who equipped balanced landing on purpose to run the infinite).
