will you get the premium pass?

HELL YES.
Dude the charms are so DOPE! (though they could be a little bigger on the survivors belt). That little Claudette is so cute. I want a real-life keychain version of it.
10 bucks for a bucket full of outfits, bloodpoints, and charms. Dude it's a ton of value. I've spent ten on a single outfit before (several times it fact).
I get the complaints. I do. But, Behavior has stuffed it with so much content it's just kind of entitled of players to cry about it.
I just hope the lore we unlock won't disappear when rift 2 replaces rift 1.

yes
I plan on getting it in Paladins and dbd, I like getting cosmetics.
2 -
yes
Without a doubt it's great value in my opinion.
I (try to) play 3-4 hours or so a day i'm hoping that'll be more than enough to pay $10 and have every pass from now on by earning the cells back
1 -
i too love the charms. honestly i'll likely get the pass mainly for the charms. also you dont get bloodpoints in the pass, thats for the archive challenges. also the lore should stay, the archive's content will always be available, the rift will disappear after the 70 days. but "most" cosmetics will become available later
1 -
yes
I was just worried about losing access to the lore because we can't watch last year's HB videos anymore.

yes
Yeh, will give it a spin and see if it's something I like or not. I think with the Archives and Battlepass, I may feel more inspired to play DBD more than I usually do. With work and such, I usually have to be fully awake or up to playing, being more rewarded for playing is probably that extra push where I don't care at being held back (solely my own fault) from jumping in each day.
0 -
well dont worry, the lore content from the Archives should always be available.
3 -
Maybe. You can play the free path and, if you buy the premium later, it unlocks the premium stuff retroactively.
If I play enough that the premium pass would unlock a lot of stuff, then yes, I'll totally buy it.

I am unsure atm but I know I will eventually.
It's inevitable

no
Nope.
I supported this company with purchasing dlc/skins even gifiting dlc to friends who miss out etc.. f2p simply does not belong into games where I already pay for the content.
It is concerning that most people do not have a problem with it, stating you save money or you get your money back. Both cases are wrong, you spend your money for AC a worthless ingame currency. Ingame currencies have no other reason to exist but to delude the player, make them not think about money and how much they actually spend on a skin or whatever.
It is no coincedence that the rift pass can be leveled up with AC as well, as soon as you are unable to play, due to unforeseeable reasons you will lose that money or even invest more to get the everything out of it.
It is sad that they resort to f2p stuff which does not belong here and makes me worried about the future of dbd and where this could lead too. As I have no idea how much further they want to explore f2p mechanics.

Honestly I've been so happy with Behavior lately with the Freddy rework, with the tile shifting maps, with updated lighting, with Scream and Stranger Things chapters, the last 4 cosmetic sets... they've been killing it.
The rift looks amazing. I was one of the detractors a few months ago but they've made me look the fool. I'm gladly going to pay ten bucks every rift (even if I get the track done I'm still going to pay cash) because they've ######### earned this.
The ONLY 2 things left to fix imho for the game to be perfect is reducing bp costs in the bloodweb to alleviate grind and slightly increase the charms size for survivors.
1 -
yes
It's ten dollars for a ton of stuff.
Even if you don't buy the premium pass, you still get the extra blood points from the archive, the free charms and skins on the free track, and the extra goals will help diversify survivor gameplay.
2 -
You should add an undecided option (if you can that is). That's where I fall on it. I doubt I'll buy it. But can't say for certain.

I'm not sure.
I am a long time fan of DBD but feel like I'm getting fed up with the game.
I'm no longer excited for cosmetics as truth be told, this game can be as equally frustrating as it can be fun.
In regards to the premium pass content, I think the majority is crap. I like the new Trapper mask and the Nurses' blight weapon, but other then that it's all poop. I'm not sold on the hook decorations and the survivor/killer accessories are just silly.
But naturally we've got wide-eyed "whats up guys" youtubers with even wider-mouths telling up how AAAAAAMAAAAAAAZING the new premium pass content is.
It's not amazing. Stop being such a spanner. There's being passionate about the game. Then there's having a massive coughing fit over a hanging icon accessory.
I love horror. I loved Friday 13th the game. DBD is good but it's not great fun. And all this premium pass malarkey is not really interesting me.

i sadly cant go back and add a third option. i shouldve though :P

yes
10$
with that i could eigther get: 1 outfit collection (and have 20 auric cells left from the purchase)
or: a battlepass which contains 5 outfit collections, 1000 auric cells and multiple charms for the fun of it. (and have 100 auric cells left from the purchase)
yeah, the battlepass seems like its worth the money xD
2 -
yes
Ten bucks for a bunch of cosmetics and if I complete the whole thing I get the next pass for free. Why would I not buy this? 😆
1 -
yes
I mean, I still have like 6.5k Auric cells rotting from that Moonrise screenshot contest I won almost a year ago...
So yeah... i'll get the premium pass with 1k of those.
0 -
it depends: if the 1000 auric cells in the premium path are always present (meaning: buy once, and if you play enough you can self finance it) then yes. Otherwise nope.
@not_Queen any confirmation on this matter?
0 -
no
Most likely no. There weren't any cosmetics I was particularly interested in getting.
0 -
yes
Sure, why not- if it pays back like it says- it won’t hurt to at least give it a shot Xx

@Endstille Look at it this way, the premium pass is $10.00 USD plus tax. Where I live, minimum wage is $13.00 USD an hour. So even in states where minimum wage is $8.00 USD that's either less than an an hour's worth of pay or a little over an hour's worth of pay.
Is it a wise investment? No. However, spending $10.00 USD dollars on a video game has got to be one of the least harmful ways to spend USD. We're not buying vapes or drugs or fueling some substance addiction, nor are we doing anything illegal. It's not pay to win either as the cosmetics are just that, cosmetics. This is a wholesome healthy transaction between some slasher fans and some slasher fans that made something of themselves and launched a three year strong multiplayer horror title.
Sure monetisation in video games is boring. However, compared to EA and Microsoft BHVR (at least the Dead by Daylight team) has been nothing but a bunch of saints.
I understand where you are coming from, but we asked for dedicated servers and those take steady revenue to keep running. Sure BHVR has a lot of money now, but who knows what the future holds. It's good to have a steady income whether you're a company or a person.

yes
Yup. I have 900 hrs in this game. It's my favorite game of all time. I think it's worth it.
0 -
yes
They don't want to make the charms too big, then they'll hurt your stealth game.
0 -
yes
Me when I die to a killer because they didn't see my bright blue hoodie, they saw my Brand New Part charm because it was bigger than one of the Demogorgon's teeth:
2 -
yes
This.
If a charm is what gets you spotted then you aren't stealthy my dude.
1 -
yes
Well now that you mention it, I suppose that the cosmetics are optional . . .
LET'S MAKE THOSE CHARMS DUMMY THICK!
2 -
no
All for the idea, but none of it really interest me. None of the cosmetics are for my mains.
0 -
I'm going to wait and see if I can get the pass done without purchase, then if it is easy enough I'll be buying it
2 -
yes
I get my cells back so why not?

This content has been removed.
-
yes
Heck yeah I will! Well worth the $10 besides the fact it helps to continue supporting this company giving us so much fun!
0 -
yes
Why wouldn't I? I get the cells back to use to buy more Killers when they get released and I get charms to show the survivors who they are messing with!
1 -
yes
I dont see the issue. Even if no one does you still get a lot of BP for doing this missions ;) its a win win! Though I do think they should put some more free content on it so its not so...you know.
1 -
no
As it stands right now, i won't, since i don't know what's in it.
0 -
yes
Since I'm planning on buying more cosmetics in the future I will gladly buy the battlepass and get those AC back. Strategically speaking I'll be buying it after I reach the max level so that I can be sure I'll unlock everything.
1 -
yes
I don't like battle passes in general, as it sets a bad standard in a game, but BHVR's actually isn't bad. My only fear is that it could spiral out of control, but right now it seems like a solid deal.
1 -
thats my fear too. this one seems fair, but they could easily make it worse over time.
1 -
It's likely I will.
0 -
Maybe, it mostly depends on how console dbd plays after the mid chapter
1 -
boy this poll is really riding that 70/30 split.
0 -
yes
this may sound weird but I'm gonna get to max tier on free then buy premium
1 -
thats not weird, thats smart
1 -
no
None of the cosmetics interest me since I’m a Kate and Spirit/Wraith main(that Wraith skin is nothing special), don’t give a damn about charms so easy choice for me.
2 -
no
Nope. Not throwing $10 away for "free cosmetics" just so I can have every obtainable item.
######### your cash grab Behaviour.
3 -
yes
Yes, I play regularly enough that I will most likely be able to fully complete it, meaning that I will have enough cells to get the next one free. Since I very rarely buy cosmetics from the store since they are $10 a pop, this is a great new system that I will actually be able to get more cosmetics from.
Plus there is virtually no timed exclusives so even if I do miss out on an outfit, I can buy it in the store at a later date.
Overall there is nothing scummy about this system and it’s a great alternative to getting cosmetics that I do not mind supporting.
2 -
Will I get the premium pass?
1 -
yes
Such a vile attitude, do you work for free? I sure as ######### don't
1 -
no
If it were F2P I would however DBD isn't so we get into the ethical issues of monetizing the game when you have dlc at $5+ and cosmetics at $10 a piece which is overpriced. Again $10 isn't a lot however stack it with currency and such then there starts being issues of monotizing everything like say EA would. Its just milking your player base for money when things aren't being fixed properly or are delayed into eternity.
0 -
yes
But only after I've completed it enough to feel like I'd be missing out not to. IE, if I play enough and get to a tier where I have a bunch of things I'd want I'll buy it so I can get those things retroactively.
I won't, however, be buying them every single time. I can't garuntee I'll play enough for it to be worth it each month
