The nurse is technically what the teacher was supposed to be if I'm not mistaken that's where she came from , but I could be wrong

They might have removed it because making a teacher a killer would imply she would kill kids.

Also, Adam is a teacher. Might be seen as unoriginal if we had a teacher killer unless they did different things.
Also, Killers like Clown had powers and appearances that had to do with their backgrounds. Common teacher crimes are pedophilia and child murder... I don't think the devs would be fine with even mentioning that in-game, right?

But did they mention it in-game. That is the question.
The devs have straight up said they have a "no kids allowed" rule in place when they were going over the Stranger Things chapter, introducing perks and characters and the Hawkins map.
I was, however, laughing in Laurie Strode when they said that.
I recall Nancy and Steve being high schoolers in Stranger Things so having them as high schoolers is not a issue. Netflix, however, might have forced them to age up Nancy and Steve because of things like Hag's mori. I've only watched Season 1, but they make sure to never kill kids on screen.

Tbh. I agree with the fact that high schoolers have been included. If they are over 16, and/or get a driver's license. And as I recall, Laurie Strode was just a highschooler when Michael first appeared and attempted to kill her...
