A guess at a future chapter - Sarah Connor Standalone Survivor from The Terminator movies.

If no one buys it then it would absolutely matter. I would buy it, but if the majority of the community wouldn't buy it then they wouldn't make it.

It would get publicity and people would buy it regardless (if not for the killer or survivor, then for the perks, or heck, the fans of FNaF might come to this game if that were to happen).
I'd be glad for the option, at least.

Considering Terminator shows us the one absolutely plausible and provable way humans could go extinct it is absolutely terrifying but for all the wrong reasons. Google is Skynet waiting to happen.
That said, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is from my hometown so I love her. She'd make a cool survivor.

No Lmao
People who quit playing games over something as basic as adding terminator are children.
So yes, if you leave DBD or something like that in DBD.. Yeah, youre officially a man child

Got the terminator DVD box set from years ago. It clearly says that it's sci fi action horror. They do alter slightly for the later films but it still states horror on all of them.

False.
It clearly states "Horror"
A simple google search should answer if it's horror or not.

And the Simpson's have the Treehouse of Horror, should we add Homer as a survivor?
Treehouse of Horror is closer to DBD than anything in Terminator.
What about Eric Foreman? That 70's show had a couple Halloween episodes too.

Getting Arnold Schwarzenegger as a licenced character in this game would honestly be massive.
I can just imagine McCote taking a selfie with him and Arnold retweeting dbd Twitter posts. That would be crazy to see and I think it would be hilarious how high dbd would have gone to get to that point.

Freddy and the nightmare films are pretty much the same thing, where the first few entries are horror, but then it derails into comedy. It's really no different.
And personally, beating up Homer sounds kinda fun so I'd be ok with it.

The Simpsons treehouse horrors are generally parodies of generic or horror movies and tropes itself, and of course it's own easy to follow storyline which has a horror theme itself.
The Simpsons isn't a horror franchise however if it was more appropriate such as having a serious horror plot or a character has to endure a lot to survive then it could then be a valid idea but for what it is, it doesn't fit dbd.
Also you said yourself it has to be horror to deem itself compatible with dbd, now you're questioning the genre of The Simpsons as you think it's close enough to horror to make a point about it.

look. Search on Google:
"The Terminator Genres"
And Horror is one of them because guess what? It is.
You think I would think it was Horror if it wasn't? My name is Michael Myers for Pete's sake.
And obviously my attached Screenshot said: Action, Sci-Fi, Horror etc.
So is it in an Action and Sci-Fi genre? Yes. But Alien 2 is as well even though it is also in the Horror genre alongside with Terminator.
