Why is rank reset only 1 month, rather than 3 months?

Imho going after the same bullshit every month, meeting bad teammates or inexcperienced survivors as killer, isn't fair for both sides, instead just put the rank reset every three months and we go back to rank 20, it makes much more sense

    back to rank 20 ? Lol no thanks I don’t want to deal with good killer with real rank 20 mates, instead if they could stop to derank, it’s so boring to play almost every game with bad team mates, dc’s, urban evasion Claudette and the one and only noed, the derank have no sense for me it’s just boring

    Right now the problem would be that red ranks would become more and more of a mess, because as of now rank is not only a representation of your skill, but also your play time. So the longer you play, the more likely it is that you reach red ranks. At least that's how I believe it kinda is.

    Means after two months you'll have all kinds of people with different skill levels at red rank. Of course that's already the case now, the closer you get to rank reset the more diversed the skill set of players at red ranks are. But it would become much worse if rank reset would only happen every three months.

    @ad19970 i guess you are right, but we had this problem until match 2019, where until then it was too easy to rank up, and we had boosted survivors at rank 1 every month..maybe three months are too much, but it's still annoying to deal with the same bullshit every month..

    Definitely not 3 months. Even a scrub like me would hit red ranks then. I think they should adjust how far back the reset takes people. Like maybe have rank 1 only go back to rank 5. Rank to go to rank 6 and so on. Basically if you were red ranks you'd go back to purple. Purple would go back to green. And green would go back to yellow.

    I think they should keep it the way it is now, but add some rank rewards as incentive. I’ve never heard of any other game that had an active ranking system that requires you to grind, resets on a monthly basis, and doesn’t give you some sort of reward. It’s kind of ridiculous. I mean, what’s the point? If you’re a killer, it just makes your life exponentially harder for no reason. You generally get better survivors with better items and perks, gens go faster, you get more swf groups, and it’s miserable using killers or perks outside of the meta. As it now, I could care less about red rank. If I get red rank, cool. If not, then who cares. I’m not gonna go out of my way to grind and populate the server just to make my life harder for no reason.

    I love rank reset! It would be so worse if my rank would only be set back to purple. I can get back to purple ranks myself without dc'ing and not being a dick towards my teammates.

    I seriously dont understand why we got devotion level when its not even used only to show how much time I invested in this game. Would make much more sense to pair people of their own player level but even as i say this i know its not possible (at certain points when less people are playing it takes 10mins to find a lobby with similar ranks).

    Rank means so little, you can get to rank1 both on one day after reset or even when you haven't played in a long time and you start again. In other games it can take years to come to the top, here a day. Pls just erase this awful system that has no purpose whatsoever. Scap it and come up with something that matters, has rewards for people who get there and also makes people wanna go there. Doesn't even have to be something really special but how about custom icons or whatever nothing that affects gameplay.
