Could This Be a Sign of a Future Feature?
So, I was tweaking the graphics settings in GameUserSettings.ini the other day. They had changed after downloading the PTB. However, while I was looking around, I noticed a setting that I did not see prior to the PTB:
HasAcceptedCrossplayPopup=False
Thoughts?

The nurse changes could have been done to tone her down just a bit for crossplay...

It an Unreal Option. The engine was updated in the PTB.

It seems as though you are correct. I just looked at the same file for Gears 5.... I did not see that setting in the Gears 5 file, but it's laid out the same, and has the same setting names as DBD...
My parade has officially been rained on.
UNLESS, the setting was added into DBD because they plan to use it.

There is always a chance for anything and everything being added.
The last we were told though is that it wasn't on the priority list so that chance could be a long time off.

I'm actually glad that I've been speculating about the terminator being a potential dlc for dbd, I started playing Gears 5 (because it has a terminator dlc) and I've been pleasantly surprised by how good it is. A little annoyed how their terminator skins were only for a specific time and not available now which to me seems dumb but I'm playing that until the Battlepass lands so I don't get burnt out before I finish it.

It will be an imbalance from pc to console. The most they would do is xbox to ps.

Well to be fair, In a recent interview with mcote, king asked about certain things they want to do in the future and mcote said he wanted to have cross play as some point, but also the engine was updated so thats part of the reason

Crossplay is gonna happen down the line. I'm almost 100% certain. With Nurse being nerfed, console players have little to worry about when facing PC players in the future. Like, what? 360s? Not everyone does that and those who do are usually punished for it since killers learn to anticipate it. Plus the party system they've implemented lends itself to crossplay greatly.
