'Badham has better totem locations,' so I was told

Why is this a thing? Why not add a no spawn location around important map areas, like generators?

Thankfully, the match itself wasn't bad. Feng, the hook, died shortly after this (she kept trying to heal in the basement). The Claudette rage quit on hook. Farmed with the last two, so this particular spawn location was more amusing that infuriating, which it would have been if it were an optimal team.

I know it was said that Badham has better totem locations, but really, more work could be done so THIS doesn't happen.

    @Gibberish

Agree, I saw once someone having a nice and interesting idea, on all possible totem locations are some scrab to hide a possible totem, you have to put them away in a little 5sec animation to see if there is a totem or not, but the probem is, it is still luck based. But better then this here xD

Basically every spot in Badham is good except any totem that spawns in a building lol. The 2 story house spawns are predictable and exposed, and the basement ones aren’t even hidden, they are right next to a gen and can be spotted if you chase them there. The one in the Preschool in the corner next to Freddy’s bed is decent however.

Seasoned survivors know where all the totem spawns are, even the "hidden ones" like the one on the second floor of Hawkins or other tricky locations. I get that wide-open spawns like Crotus are just hilariously bad, but it's just a matter of survivors learning these more.

I don't know if I want the totem system reworked. It's fun and adds an element of unpredictability to games. Many times I've had to run around the map to find a the hidden Devour Hope totem and everyone else falls like flies. You can get unlucky if it's one of the more well-hidden ones and it's the last part of the map you check. That wastes a lot of time.

    I think that's fine, personally.

Maybe they should allow the user to place the totem down themselves instead?

That's probably the only bad totem spawn on that map but it is weird that it almost always spawns there whenever I get this map.

I think they should just be done with it and attach totems to generators.

Hex perks are supposed to be powerful perks balanced by the fact they can be destroyed they have bad and good locations to balance out it spawn rng

So true. even on Underground Complex, which has amazing totem spots, it's never a shock when it gets popped in 2 mins. Totem perks need reworks IMO.

BHVR sadly jus cant really get a handle on Totem spawns :/ I wish Totems had a different mechanic or way to be implemented so they aren't instantly found & cleansed. Maybe have Totems not visible for a couple moments/minutes, or something....because totem spawn locations can never seem to be properly balanced....either it last a couple seconds/minutes where it is insanely easy to find....or you get lucky and it lasts long enough to get some work in.

I remember there's a Totem spawn location on Yamakoa Estate thstvis 2 footsteps away from where a Survivor can spawn....I had that happen. I literally sit through the 360 camera pan right before I can control my character and during that spin...BAM Hex Totem...right there...cleansed before the Killer could so much as scratch their own as, let alone move around.

Totems themselves need an overhaul or Hex Perks need more protection or failsafes for em...

On both sides, I've had games where a lit totem is found really quickly, and where it's never found at all. Usually it splits the difference and survives for a couple gens if I'm not trying to defend it. The point is that they're strong perks that are a gamble. It feels really bad when your totem gets destroyed sometimes. Confirmation bias gives you the feeling that totems are always in bad spots. If you don't want to take the gamble, run a different perk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What about this one? (This image is really old, so ignore the lower tier perks.)

Yeah however you still have to actively look for them, even when you know the locations, with this you just naturally find it by going to fix a gen

funny thing about that one there , ive had it before running a ruin/thrill build , they got the thrill but in the end game everyone kept asking where ruin was because they couldn't find it . they were all over it , chassed 2 people past it and they never noticed it out in the open .

I mean overall, this maps does have the best spawn locations.

I’d say Hawkings Lab second, only cuz it’s still newish.
