Please.. Explain this???
So i cant even put into words what I expirienced my last match. So instead I'll post a clip I took because i need an explanation so my brain will calm down.
In case you miss it since it seems hard to catch at some points. Apperently a ming did some meth or cocaine and was running the olympic marathon while all the other survivors were at the regular pase. I dont play survivor. Like at all. But never have i seen anything like this in any of my games ever.
Also this is on PS4.

I've been seeing some weird skipping when I'm a killer and survivors seem to phase walk on me, but I've never seen anything like this.
Did she seem aware of how crazy she was moving?

Yeah thats speed hacks... Seen it enough times on PC

If this was PC, I'd say speed hacks for sure, but I'm not familiar with how possible hacking is on PS4.

i would assume so because this literally lasted over a minute. I continued to chase her and she started doing very obnoxious running patterns. I was attempting to down someone else after slugging a survivor since it was a SWF group and they were all trying to heal her or distract me but she was the only one carrying an insta heal med kit and it was the only reason that survivor got back up. I literally gave up after that and when they powered the last gen i opened the gate and chainsawed in a corner. Ive experienced rage before but nothing like i have tonight.

Tbh though, definitely a hacker if not a severe bug

Two things come to mind. Either it's a speed hack, or sprint burst bugged out. Though this seems faster than sprint burst.

Damn she must have one hell of a gaming chair. On a serious note I think that's a rare bug that gets caused by hitting a survivor with a basic attack. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's definitely a hack. The bug that keeps people at sprint burst speed after being hit is much slower and she seemed to literally teleport from one area of the map to the other.
If you took screenshots of the pause screen (where it'd show her player and character name) I'd strongly recommend reporting her with this video as evidence

I sure did. How do I report them? Ive never had to report anything before in my years playing this game and i would very much appreacite a point in the right direction because these kinds of players who do things like that kill any resembles of fun or fairness.

If you were still in the in game lobby, you'd want to open the report option, choose cheating, and then link your video and screenshot evidence (yes, it's unnecessarily convoluted)
I was going to link you to their support site but it seems you can't submit reports once you've left the end game lobby screen, only add to previous reports if you have too much information for the in game report box (which has a character limit for... reasons)

I had hit that survivor and hooked her at least once during the trial but after she was unhooked i did not see her again till when that video starts.
I was able to submit a ticket with the link and i added the proof. If it was intentional I hope it's dealt with and if it was some rare bug i hope nobody ever encounters it in their games because its really nasty.

Might wanna hold off on that report. ATM theres a bug going on that applies the equivalent of an infinite sprint burst. Had it happen to me on PTB, and Ive seen it happen to a buddy of mine on the live version. Didnt do anything special to activate it, and I couldnt figure out how to make it stop when it happened to me. My buddy finally got it to stop after falling from a high place.
Point being... This might not have been intentional at all.

If that's the case that is one heck of a rare bug, I must be one lucky (or unlucky) guy. Kinda makes me wish I had a scratch off or lottery ticket. Lol
I'll take it as a sign that I should not play DBD tonight.

If the developers are aware that its a bug then they wont punish the player for something he had no control over. I specified that it might have been a bug since it wasnt present at the start of the match or at the end as far as i was aware. But on the chance it may have been someone abusing or hacking I submitted it. They should be better equipped to determine stuff like that on their end (i would asume)

Its on PC too. Ive had it happen to me.
Just letting you know its a thing atm. When it happened to me, was mid-match. I got unhooked, and for some reason was the flash. I didnt even have an exhaustion perk equiped...

I appreciate it. If i do run into again, im afraid I'll have to take an extended break from DBD. Ive played this on and off for years but had never seen something like that in any of those times and there have been constant bugs that have plagued this game but that was something else. I dont wish it it anyone. My nerves are shot and i dont have it in me to game anymore for the rest of the night lol.

I get it. Ive only had it happen AGAINST me once, and I thought it was probably a hacker too. Afew days later, happened TO me. I havent seen it happen all that often. I main killer, so Id notice if it was happening every game or so.
Currently dedicated servers have brought all sorts of bugs...
Have you played Myers? lol

I have not, ive been sparred from the dedicated servers since i play on ps4 and I also dont have myers unlocked (yet.)
But i do get on the forums enough to follow and read peoples frustration with bugs on pc or the dedicated servers themselves (or lack of issues for others)
I do believe i just read about the myers t3 bug though

I posted about it afew minute ago. Its abit frustrating, lol. Havent been having a whole lot of problems with the servers, but playing Myers kinda highlighted afew. The T3 thing was annoying, and I tried afew scratched mirror games as well. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to inch closer and closer as T1 Myers, only to rubberband back? GAHHHHHH!

It's not a hack, there are no hacks on console. I've seen at least four or five videos on Reddit of console players showing themselves running really fast for a whole game after getting hit or dropping from a distance or some other thing. It's somewhat of a known bug but no one is really sure what triggers it. Definitely not hacks though.

My Sprint Burst was bugged and I had an infinite Sprint Burst. Lol

It's never happened to me, but I had a match with something similar. Jane's Lithe bugged out when she vaulted and I hit her, and for the rest of the match, she was a speed demon.

I doubt it's a hack on console. Probably a rare bug that's been seen in the last few weeks.
