Is it possible for The Entity to "Starve"?
Dunno why just a question I found myself intrigued by. Can the Entity Starve? Any of you lore experts know?

He probably could lose some power, but not starve. He's pretty much a god...
The thing is, for him to starve, a lot of factors would have to come into effect.
First off, he'd have to lose his connection to our world. If he can't get new people, then he has no use in putting them in the Void...
Now on the other hand, if they stop being afraid of the entity, then their hopes of escaping increase against the killers, and he is fed. If they are not hopeful of escape, then they are sent to the Void.
Now if he sends them all to the Void, the killers have nothing to be mad at, and the Entity will probably let them start killing each other to harvest their strong emotions (Fear of death, anger at the other killers, etc)
Once those emotions are gone, he'd probably lose most of his powers.

It's probably moreso a desire to eat hope rather than a necessity.

Well think of it this way.
Ares the God of War. If no chaos happens and no wars break out then he loses most of his power, because he fed on those wars. But he won't die. hH is just weakened in power.
So, logistically the survivors and killers COUUULLLLD break the cycle by giving up hope.
If every survivor gave up hope and sacrificed themselves willingly the entity could therefore be weakened. The only issue with this is to break the cycle they all have to continuously give up hope. But to get the motivation to break the cycle, you need hope.
So it is possible to break the cycle, but is hard to do so.
(Yes I added a theory to my explanation)

Nope, the french original name is La Entite and the developers are reffering to it with the femine nouns in english as well.

Pretty sure "Entity" is just a feminine noun in the language. Would you refer to a chair as "she"? Is there even a gender neutral way to say "the Entity" in French?
Also, can I get a link to where they refer to the Entity as "she"?

Im not specialist in french, but from what i know la is the femine part, they could have used le as the masculine part, and in the french you use masculine part in some way to show it is neutral, not the femine.
When it comes to link... im lazy, why wont you find a link where they refer to the entity as it?
Also, its not the place to discuss it, i belive there were topics about it.

Nouns are generally either masculine or feminine. I believe "Entity" is a feminine noun so I don't think using "le" instead of "la" would be acceptable.

I'm assuming English isn't your first language. It isn't about finding a link where they say the Entity is an it. In English, we usually use it for things, the Entity is a thing, hence the IT, same as Pennywise, do you get it now?

It really depends on the language.
@Impala Well... actually entity is a reference for a being or a thing. In the various contexts you can refer to many things as the entity. Biological entity for instance. It's still can be femine or masculine.
Also, Pennywise isn't this "IT", he is just a pawn, just like the killers in the Entity realm.@IamFran

Excuse me what? What "IT" is Pennywise, then? Are we on the same page?
As for the Entity, I'm keeping my argument, moreover, fun fact, an animal's correct pronoun in English is "it" even if an animal can be a male or a female.
