I'm Sick Of Hillbilly
This character is simply unstoppable.
His saw has the most broken hitbox of this game
Do you take hit behind wall, behind rocks, jumping window and being a meter he hits you ######### ?????
It has normal speed with stupid M2 mobility
and NOT!! at this time hilbilly is impossible to loop with both ridiculous and broken HIT

I might upset some ppl. But Hillbilly is the most overrated killer in Dead by Daylight.
Can he move around quick? Sure. But after you get out of new player ranks you'll see his saw is pretty easy to juke. The only scary Hillbilly is Driftbilly because he has more control. Billy might be the easiest killer to 360. Honestly I'm slapped by Billy way more than sawed.

I rather get billy over spirit or nurse
Idk what are u talking about Billy is by fair the most balanced killer (from a survivor main pov) and yeah the hitbox of the chainsaw is quite unfair I admitted but besides that is very fun to go against
1 -
Then don't tbag, BM, and taunt everyone else.
Also, hit behind wall, behind rocks.... can I see proof of that?
Also, he is quite loopable. Be careful of straight lines.
2 -
Billy is op. Ah ######### here we go again.
0 -
He's referring to vaults lol. As if you shouldn't be able to get hit through a vault as if it's some magic invisible barrier that killers can't attack over.
3 -
I mean, it's a window, not a force field. I was curious if i could see these hits though. I've never hit someone through a rock or wall (other than vaults) with Billy.

The first few months when I was playing survivor I hated billy. It seemed like he was super over powered, being able to cross the map and insta down, I thought it was bs. I went down every time he found me. I seriously hated him.
In all honesty though, with practice you’ll feel differently going against him. In fact you might actually like it some day. I can’t give you much advice, because it really does take trial and error learning to juke his chainsaw, and looping comes with playtime but if you can watch some people play against him and see how easy it can be you might feel better about it.

I really only find hillbilly fun to go against when they are using turning add ons makes juking super hard sometimes

Tell all this to my Hillbilly. I can't win with him unless the survivors are braindead. I hear alot of complaining about him but I don't get it. The survivors I face at high rank seem to know how to counter me when I use him so maybe try improve your playstyle? No attack at you of course but if a killer is causing you trouble you may want to change up your playstyle or change habits if you can.
I could just be a bad killer but I mean, I don't struggle as much with say, Clown as I do Hillbilly...go figure.
1 -
No he is far from unstoppable.
Go pick up billy, play without addons, add some later in and go to r1. You will at some point face people that know how to play against a billy. Copy what they are doing and learn his weakness. So tired of x is op cause "insert missing knowledge here".
3 -
There are three things I learned early on for playing with Hillbilly.
First, if you can, use his chainsaw at melee range to shorten the chase so you don't have to hit the survivor twice.
Second, you don't have to let the chainsaw charge up all the way in one go- you can let go of it while it's charging, and tap the ability button to keep revving it, keeping it just short of fully charged, that way you can get the insta-down right when you need it.
Third, know when to stop revving your chainsaw. Sometimes the survivor will just run circles around a debris loop, and revving your chainsaw will only serve to slow you down.

Billy isn't unstoppable but I admit I still don't like going up against Billy after all this time.
Billy forces you into a very specific style in playing the game if you want to live, and I hate killers that do that.
The worst part about Billy, is that everyone on the team needs to be good if you want to live. If you have even one deadweight in the party he is going to get hacked to bits every single time after each hook.
1 -
Unstoppable? He can basically get looped for ages. His only really advantage is his map pressure due to his speed (doesn't even work well on all maps) and curving (difficult and on certain loops impossible + survivors can still counter this). Other than that he is a pretty basic M1 killer.
You complaining about Billy is just a case of getting better at looping and eventually getting better team mates.
0 -
This! The best players are usually those who play both sides against very strong opponents. That's when you learn the most, that's when you improve.
0 -
I would rather play billy every game instead of Nurse or spirit.
What makes him unfun is bamboozle, Ruin and Pop combo with insta saw. He doesn’t need all that 😒
1 -
Take Spirit out of the game and let me face Billy all day, maybe I’ll start playing survivor more.
Seriously, billy isn’t op at all, he’s loopable like every other killer. Just be careful and try not to be out of position. Avoid unsafe gens unless you know where he is. Don’t rely so much on vaults especially if you notice his saw charge being shorter than base. Sometimes drop a pallet early if you don’t see other chances of escape.
Theres something I agree on, honestly: hitbox registry for his chainsaw is sometimes stupid, hits through trees or other minor environmental objects. That should be addressed.
0 -
He's not bad really. The chainsaw hitbox is pretty bad I'd have to agree. Also insta saw Billy can be rough.
0 -
But that's the point of having multiple killers. Every killer has a distinct playstyle due to their special ability so every killer forces you to play a little different, or a lot different in specific cases.
3 -
Where do we end up if even Billy is too strong now? I still think he's the most balanced killer out there. He is not strong enough to beat the "best" groups, but against most groups he is good enough.
0 -
Billy has strong map pressure in terms of mobility, but you can loop him endlessly like most killers. The only really annoying thing about him is his BS hit box with the chainsaw.
0 -
Billy can be looped. If they're a good Billy you gotta watch out for curves and fake-revvs and the like, but he has to actually interact with pallets and vaults.
There's no denying that when he snowballs, he can snowball hard though. Do your best to force him to m1 you, and never give him an obvious slugging opportunity by letting him see you right as he downs another survivor or something like that. He's strong but he can't circumvent the mechanics of the game or anything.
0 -
Billy is strong, but he's far from OP. Many like me consider him 'balanced'. With all do respect, it sounds you're weak at looping and predicting your enemies following footing and mindset.
0 -
that saw is not easy to juke especially on servers. the cone is massive and the auto aim needs to be toned down, iv seen billy snap 45-90 degrees on loops locking on to either pallets or people who are clearly around objects, he needs tweaks and saying other wise is lack of experience
0 -
Billy is pretty fun to VS
0 -
Give me nurse and spirit all day over Billy. Billy is boring AF to play against.
Sounds like I'm in the minority, but I'll support OP. It's just ping pong from hook to hook. Hit boxes are suspect at best too.
He's definitely not "the most balanced killer". I legit shake my head when I see people post that on here.
0 -
Not hitboxes my friend, it's called latency. Same goes for all unnatural hits that killers get and/or when they are taken from them. It goes both ways.
0 -
Honestly, I hate seeing Spirit, but I'd take a Hillybilly over her any day.
Even if you just run from hook to hook with him.
0 -
Personally I find versing Hillbilly fun. Terrifying but fun.
0 -
This.

Wrong. A single video from "he who shall not be named but it begins and ends in O" proves otherwise, noob3 proves otherwise, and Tru3Ta1lent proves otherwise. Billy is not hard to juke.
0 -
Be very thankful for hillbilly. With nurse's coffin waiting on her to get in it, I'm seeing almost all spirits with a very occasional billy. I want to give him a big bear hug every time I see one!
0 -
By balanced you mean boring and pathetic right? I have more fun against Spirits and God Nurses then I have ever enjoyed a game with Billy.
0 -
Billy, like Huntress, is fair. Both have abilities that are inherently powerful, but they can miss just as easily and it takes some level of skill to use.
I don't see the problem here.
0 -
You know someone is a newbie when.
I swear most of my pips in two years is against billy because he doesn’t cAmp. People generally run bbq with him and take off after a hook. Very easy unhooks.
once you learn how to juke his chainsaw in the open and not drop pallets when not needed, he becomes a beatable killer.
definitely most overrated killer in the game because of people like you who don’t know how to counter him.
I used to hate going up against him until I got got good.
he’s gotta be the most balanced killer in the game.

the hillbillys chainsaw has the exact same attack range as a normal M1 attack (not a lunge attack) - it does not work with a hitbox.
when the Hillbillys chainsaw is active, the game has a marked are in front of the killer. any survivor hitbox entering said area will be hit and downed.
he has the exact same range through windows as any other killer aswell, even with the chainsaw - its actually a lot harder to hit the chainsaw through windows, as it requires you to charge it first.
if you get hit behind walls, thats bad latency, not the killers "hitbox" being broken (as i said, killer attacks do not work with hitboxes).
you can easily loop billy around structures, forcing him to be a normal M1 killer - not any better than wraith. he shines however in an open field, where you cant avoid him getting close to you and activating the chainsaw.
in the end its just a matter of practise. thanks to billys insane map pressure and potential oneshot ability, he seems extremely strong, though if you know how to loop properly, you will not have that hard of a time anymore, as long as your team is decent enough to repair gens while you loop him.
conclusion: neigther his chainsaw nor M1 attack are somewhat broken. if hits look bad for you, that is because of latency issues, which shouldnt really be the case anymore with dedicated servers. if you get hit behind windows, please remember that killers by default have a short range through windows. that means they not only can hit you during the vault animation, but also when you are already through the window, but didnt leave fast enough.

Billy is a pretty difficult killer vs good survs, but he's very, very powerful in the right hands. I still put him above Spirit overall, despite being loopable. But he is a damn good killer, high skill cap (much higher than Spirit, but less than Huntress).
0 -
Billy doesn’t have a high skill cap at all, Leatherface has a higher one if you play him normally and try to land saws. Clown and Huntress since you have to aim. Myers and Ghostface for playing sneaky.
Billy’s kind of a pick up and play killer. Which is fine the game needs that.
0 -
Billy definitely isn't, unless you're going vs baby survivors.
Hes got a lot of tech.
0 -
This. All of this.
0 -
Such as?
0 -
I think hillbilly needs 2 changes to make him fun to play as and against.
- Chainsaw now only counts as a single hit and is mainly used for mobility.
- His base movement speed is increased so he isn't so easily looped.
0 -
Had an insta saw Billy today with BBQ and infectious fright. He messed us up bad. If it make sense I usually get close to downed survivors to avoid BBQ and get the save. Infectious fright really countered the hell out of me, he was most.... unforgiving
0 -
Base speed limiter? That’s silly. He already moves base speed as well.
0 -
Um, no. Cause then he would have speed limiter at all times and everyone hates that.
Also, cause then he'd be the only Killer with base more than 115%
There's no need to nerf him and make him weird. He can already go faster than Legion in FF with just PWYF, not even counting his Chainsaw,
