Why are cheaters not banned on console?
To keep it short: I know a group of people who intentionally keep searching each other's lobby to farm survivors to death who are not part of the group. They don't want to farm (although that's typically what they do after killing "outsiders"). They primarily want to "hunt" people that don't belong to their little group of (very bad word). Due to their "after hunt farming" they also make it to red ranks, too.
I reported that group of cheaters multiple times ONE YEAR ago. I even stayed in their lobby multiple times knowing what's coming just so I could report them in-game again and again.
Now I decided to play some survivor again a few minutes ago. Guess who I met? Exactly. The same cheaters who keep working with each other. The thing is they seem to remember my name so they're now closing the lobby if I happen to join (because their "killer" lost me multiple times despite the help of 2 pallet+window blocking cheaters) which means I can no longer report them in-game.
So my question is: Why are cheaters not banned on console?
You know what's sad? I just wasted my time creating this thread because I know none of them will ever get banned even though they're literally working with each other with the mere intention to drive people away from this game. Guess console bans are a myth unless your name starts and ends with an "O".
The upcoming event is gonna be fun for all the "outsiders" that join their lobby.

Unfortunately, the devs seem to be very lenient when it comes to bans. The only reason I can think of is that they're afraid of accidentally banning an innocent player.

just reporting them ingame isnt enough in such cases.
if you submit a support ticket with video evidence of them doing this, i am sure they will be banned rather sooner than later.
the devs wont ban without evidence - which is a good thing, since no one can abuse the report system that way. reporting them ingame is still not a bad choice, as you draw attention to their group and - when you add the support ticket with the evidence - its easier to track their profiles and ban them.

Well to be fair I can see why they don't take reports seriously. I get reported myself for whatever reason everytime I play killer despite playing relatively fair compared to most killers.

I'm not able to get video evidence as they've started dodging me but I know they've done this to several other players throughout the last year so they must have gotten reported like a million times by different players. Hopefully someone else records them and sends it to the devs. I remember one of them even live streamed their "outsider hunt". Perhaps it's saved on his account. I'm gonna take a look.

Who says they don't

Oooff that's some really nasty business hopefully they do get evidence against them. This is just the worst thing I have ever heard of especially if they are still getting away with it.
Sorry your dealing with this also to anyone effected by these people ❤️🐖

They can be banned on console, I got a player banned for working with the killer against the other survivors. If you want to report someone who is legit cheating they can’t ban them unless you provide a game clip or screenshot of the incident and submit it to them.
You’ll need to submit it on the link below.

Bans on consoles are treated the same way as they are on PC and yes people do get banned for breaking in game rules but things have to be correctly reported and yes this does include video evidence for things like this as we have to be able to see the "offence" being committed.
As has been mentioned on this thread, in game reports are mandatory so we can correctly tie up the players and then the additional evidence needs to be sent to Support so that it can be reviewed.

I'd hate to get banned after all the money I've spent on this game (over 300 dollars) just because I was accused of cheating. People accuse others of cheating all of the time (and it's rarely true) it's often just people upset over something silly.

I decided to make a secondary account so they won't dodge me next time allowing me to record everything. As nerdy as it sounds I will make it my mission to get them banned. There's no place for cheaters in DBD. Not on my watch.

Good luck in your holy mission, friend- I truly hope you succeed in nailing these vile cretins Xx
