With the current "balance", it's clearly survivor.
Edit: I'm saying this as a survivor main. It's clearly the role that allows you to make a lot of mistakes/play far from the optimum and still win.

For 90% of the Killers, the following is true. If the Killer plays perfectly and the Survivors play perfectly, the Killer will lose. They will not kill any of them. With old Nurse (without add-ons) Spirit and Billy, if you played perfectly, you would get at least two.

I think it depends, what the survivors are running perks/items, or the killer and their add ons and of course the map, so far they have tried to tip the scales in favor of both sides still somethings do exist that can break this balance for both sides (Ebony Mori's, Haddonfield) I just hope the devs can get to fixing the big issues soon.
Otherwise is been the most balanced I seen dbd been in since is release from 2016.

Most killers are playthings for good survivors. You got a very high skillcap as survivor. And there are four of em in every match.

Balance is 2 survivors escape on average.
To killer players, that's losing. So they say survivors are favored to win.
And one role has flashlights and firecrackers. The other role puts people on meathooks. Who is yhe power role hmm.

It shifts depending on a ridiculous number of variables so much it would be silly to claim any side is stronger.

Survivors take two hits to go down and two hook states before they reach the third and die. There are four of them. Gens are easy to do. They can completely remove some killer perks from the match by taking a few seconds to cleanse a totem. If survivors work together, they can rescue someone from the killer's grasp. Maps are on their side, being large and giving them vaults, pallets, loops, and lockers. The closest maps come to helping killers is for Trapper and Hag who can set traps, but those traps can be avoided or disarmed without ever being used and the set-up time needed for them can be costly.
... It's kind of weird that in the Entity's realm maps don't have perils for their prey, isn't it?

A lot of people like to look at this from the "perfect play" angle, but that is nonsense, because nobody plays perfectly all the time. Especially not a group of 4 people. And before we go any further, the official stats that BHVR provided us proves it.
The real power is in the hands of the one who people have to react to.
If a killer is walking to a gen, does the survivor have the choice to stay on the gen? No. If he does he dies.
If a killer chooses to camp a hook, do the survivors have the choice to go for the save? No. If they do it becomes a bloodbath. (even with BT it's an iffy proposition)
The game revolves around the killer because the killer is the power role. Survivors must play around the killer, not against him. Or it quickly becomes a massacre.
Does that mean the killer will always win? No. The power role can lose, the power role can be made fun of. But let's not go brain dead and think that the survivors are the actual power role.

In solo, probably killer but in swf it's definitely survivors. There's no option for this so, no vote from me

That's not true though. The only reason the killer walks to the Gen is because the survivor is there. In a chase, the survivor chooses where to run to, the killer has to follow to catch them. In an average map, the killer is playing defense. On the gens, on the hooks, and on the gates. And they can't do it all at once.

Survivor since their team cooperation skill cap is far higher and has far bigger potencial then any individual killer can have.
If hypothetically speaking both sides played perfectly survivors would still have the upper hand since numbers are on their side.

- Killer against solos
- Killer against swf
- solos against killers
- Swf against killers

because they decide how the game goes by.
if they only focus on gens, the round will be over soon and the killer will have a very hard time. however, if they dont, the killer can dominate them, if he does it right.
its the same for loops, the killer only reacts to their mistakes and maybe tries to force them to make a mistake, but thats it.
imo the killer is generally the reactive role - he cant do much if the survivors play perfectly, no matter how perfect he plays.
(this statement excludes nurse)

The term power role only makes sense when comparing individual members, since otherwise the term is the same as saying "the role that is overpowered", when it's more useful to say "the role who's members are stronger"
The Killer is stronger than a Survivor even if he isn't stronger than all 4 of them combined, but since he's still stronger than a Survivor in a 1 to 1 comparison he's still the power role.

Killers are more dependent on Survivor mistakes. Obviously swf groups are a lot stronger than the average solo mix.

If survivors play moderately well, they are generally guaranteed to win if you factor in good perks. A killer can only pressure one survivor if they position correctly, while the other three are free to work on objectives. There are enough loops on the map that, if used in an efficient way, can waste far more time than what it takes to do the generators. No brainer once survivors get out of green ranks.

Neither side is stronger unless the person is good at the game.
DBD is one game where I see people think they should do better no matter if they aren't as good as who they verse.
It also has so many variables that perks, add-on's or offering can swing a match in one sides favour.

Killer in the newbie ranks but survivors in the higher ranks.
The power of the survivor is that you have a team (as well as second chance perks). A good survivor in a team of potatoes will not win against the killer but a good survivor in a team of good survivors will always win against the killer with the exception of Spirit and Nurse, exactly why people want Spirit/Nurse nerfs

In solo survivor I'd say it usually is the killer. Unless of course you've got lmg experts who run loops for breakfast then it's a tossup.
When SWF is involved and the team is coordinated and good they of course are the power role. They can bully killers. How is that not the power role.

Neither for me. But I put killer because it's Killer that is the power role in the actual definition. But since I know a lot of people use this as an argument to say Killers should be stronger I'll tell you what I think. Whoever has more skill. If two survivors are more skilled than the killer they have better odds. If 3 survivors are more skilled than the killer even more likely to win. If all survivors are just simply better than the killer than a win is very likely. The only way you can say that Killers aren't the power role is on certain maps and a few killers. I've seen that most killers can be played very well there are only a few in my opinion that have trouble.
Also let's be honest here, most people like to blame their loss on something. Survivors like to blame their losses on the Killer's playstyle by accusing them of something. Killers like to blame it on balance. It can be balance sometimes but the majority of the time I am inclined to believe that they may have just gone against survivors that are better than them. So neither is the power role in my mind
