Should crows or locations come to survivors who haven’t done gens in 2 minutes?

I’m talking about survivors who are not afk but are hiding from the killer and not doing gens. Wasting the killer’s time. Or letting the other survivor take the fall.

I was playing a bunch of Michael games before prestiging him, and it started to get pretty common where the survivors would just hide and refuse to do the objective, leaving me walking around for 20 minutes or more before someone made a mistake and I saw them. It just sucked the fun right out of the game. It’s not really fair that toxic survivors can potentially strong arm killers into backing off/letting them “win” if killers want to get a move on to the next game.

Run Whispers if you're going to use instakill Myers. Always run Whispers with instakill Myers

Ah, yeah, and what should players do, when they looking for hatch? Or looking for gens? Trying to heal? Let's increase action speed when killer is camping, or tunneling unhooked guy?

It sounds nice in theory but it would punish new players too much or a killer camping someone on first hook with one other survivor left alive.

Then there is totem hunting, going for chests, saving and healing etc.

2 mins really isn't a very long time.

I think it's such a rare occurrence that it doesn't warrant punishing legit reasons to not be on a gen.

Hmm seems a bit unnecessary. If it's the killer's choice to camp and tunnel, then it's the survivors choice to be cautious and sneaky.

What if I get found 5 seconds into the match and I'm running the killer around for 2 mins. Then I get crows... Now I have NO chance of hiding from the killer.

How are you supposed to get rid of the crows? Do you tap the gen or do you have to fix them for a certain amount of time?

What if the team isn't great and they're struggling with Ruin so no gens are getting done. If they're going around hunting for totems they're gonna get crows. So will drastically hurt new & inexperienced players.

I'd uninstall the game if anything this stupid were ever implemented in the game.

If they were thinking of implementing something like this I'd say they would have to at least double the time if we're excluding other objectives from this timer. 2 minutes may not be enough to do a little tap on a regressing generator but 4 is more than enough if you aren't focusing on never being found.

I went up against rank 1 iri head huntress with pop ruin iron maiden and discordance with a ebony mori on swamp map. Needless to say first person DC'd and no gens got done. The only way out is hatch. Force survivors onto gens and you guarantee 4K to toxic builds

IDV does something like that already and it barely triggers

I’m not sure if it’s a misunderstanding, willful ignorance, or a lack of reading comprehension, but there is absolutely a huge difference between what some people are clutching their pearls over and what I’m very clearly describing in the original post.

If you are in a chase, clearly you’re not hiding. If you’re fishing in chests, doing totems, saboing hooks, you’re not hiding and observant killers can hear you. It doesn’t take new and veteran players alike forever to start or find gens. Sure, newbies might be a little hesitant but again, they are miles away from players purposely hiding from the killer for upwards of a whole tv episode’s worth of time.

Holding the game hostage with no way for the killer to find you should be punished and work in the killer’s favor. Whispers is all well and good but 1) you need it on that killer 2) only tier 3 is useful 3) you can’t really predict that the game you’re about to play has survivors who are willing to test your patience for 20+ minutes.

To be fair your OP only mentioned gens. Adding in chases, totems, and sabotaging, and looting makes your idea better. I'm not sure if it's a good idea though. Maybe if you added being within so close a proximity to the killer as well. If the killer is searching an area throughly slipping away to progress gens will be difficult.

I can see where you coming from, it would finally punish those who are anti mates and just want to get the ez escape at the end. However, there are some situations when you can't do anything besides hiding, for example a killer who slugs to find you.
