A non-hateful post about bugs
As the title states, I’m not trying to be hateful. The devs certainly put a good bit of effort into this game by trying to keep it alive. While I have my own opinions about every aspect of what the devs do, I would like to see the game slow down just a little bit, and actually build its foundation. The game is constantly having new content—a new killer, new mechanics, new events. But they often don’t have time to stop and focus on the things that really make up the game, like stopping to actually account for every bug afflicting the game and prioritizing them and actually putting aside content to deal with those bugs.
Examples:
I noticed the Pig Trap box’s animation for sticking your arms in it wasn’t fixed for a very long time (if it even has been fixed).
Our cool, but somewhat glitchy, new dedicated servers could use some work. Timing can be everything in this game, and lag is everyone’s enemy.
This may be specific to me for some reason, but I’ve noticed that as survivor it is occasionally impossible to heal a specific survivor (they were definitely not broken).
This is my favorite game and I would like nothing more than to enjoy it and see it prosper. Honestly though, I feel like that requires putting aside new content and focusing on not only what the community wants, but making sure the game actually functions like it’s supposed to.
Opinions? Feel free to butcher my ideas ;)
(P.S. You guys have done a pretty good job so far ;)

I feel the reason they can't just stop and fix bugs is because people will lose interest and stop playing plus no new revenue. Like imagine this. They say year 5 will be a big fixing year only and the road map consists nothing but that, how many youtubers will do theories and discussions on the next bug to be fixed? Nobody. And it's not like they're not slowly fixing them as time goes on just not as a fast as some people hope but at the end of the day I'm pretty sure they have a small team who just does that and fixing bugs isn't as easy as making new content since you need to do problem solving. Idk just my take on it.

That's why they need to do the fixing in short bursts. Skip a chapter or something and focus only on untangling that messy spaghetti code.

I thought that was what mid chapters were for......
