Yeah it is pretty uncounterable.
You can KNOW they have the perk, you can KNOW which locker they're in, but your only options are completely leave them, or tank the stun like a chump.
Like you said dodging out of the way of the locker is an absolute crapshoot, especially with the dedicated servers, so "you were in front of the locker on their screen" means you get stunned.
I'm happy the perk is working as intended, but a stun like this with 0 counterplay is a bit #########.

I think it's pretty balanced. The survivor is risking an instantdown for a 3-4 second stun. From my experience, if you pretend to leave, only to circle back and mash the interact button, you'll catch them before they can do the rushed action.

You have a small chance to hit them while they're in the first bit of animation, and it'll damage them.
Good chance you'll still get stunned, but you'll get damage out of it, so that's pretty neat.

Was gonna say this ^^

You can pull them out before they even use it, bait it, or Iron maiden.

If you see them get in, odds are you can just pull them out before Head On readies itself since it can't be used instantly. I can't tell you how many times while leveling Jane I was yoinked the moment before I could do anything because the Killer didn't hesitate, and how many times I've seen a Killer eat a Head On they didn't need to because they did.

Head on is very unreliable, I've found. Maybe it's not clear how far the perk extends the stun to me, but I never seem to be able to hit anyone with it... idk...

If you can't bait it out and you somehow have time to kill, the perk deactivates when the Survivor gets AFK Crows.

Doesn't work anymore with dedicated servers. Can confirm at least 5 times I've tried and failed to do this whilst before was a 100% success rate.

Head On is super hard to use anyway. The timing is a real crapshoot. The worse your ping, the more impossible it is to get it to hit.
So don't go thinking it's an invincible perk or something.

If you know they have it, you need to move back and forth in front of the locker. If they are being scared, you can open the locker for a grab. If they guess wrong, then they will jump out and not hit you, giving you a hit or grab. You need to learn the spacing of where they can and cannot hit you.

Timing's different and a lot more tight, but still possible.

"i even went to the side of the locker and got hit"... Yeah, and it is also possible that the Killer is in front of the Locker and does not get a Stun. It works both ways, Head On is unreliable.
Would not mind it too much. It is only a 3 second Stun, which is nearly nothing. The Survivor has the risk of being pulled out of the Locker before, so it is high Risk, mediocre Reward.

If you know it's coming you can flick your mouse and m1 them as they're coming out of the locker. You'll more likely than not still eat the stun but you get a hit out of it too. Check out Otzdarva for an example of this.

A variable delay depending on your and their connection to the server.

They just need to make it a consistent perk. Survivors can jump out of the locker and nothing will happen or Killers can press the button to open the locker/grab the Survivor and it doesn't always register that the Killer did something.

Well, after they hit (or miss) you with the almost completely useless stun, follow their scratch marks because they are definitely running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Down them. Hook them. Repeat as necessary.

i also hate this perk as killer. I once get hit event if during my stun i saw it was the door opening on the right that hit me ... I wonder if Enduring make the stun shorter or not ?

Thank the Devs for the Enduring "BuFf"

It does not

dang they really nerfed Enduring ;è;

Head on is so situational and doesn’t even work most of the time. So no, this perk is fine as it is.
