Addon tier list for your favorite killer

Alice_pbg Member Posts: 6,556

"Another tier list?"

Yes. Yes indeed.

I saw a video of not otzdarva where he talked about trappers best addons.

Which was a neat idea.(also the video is good, go watch it)

So I made my tier list of trappers addons

But instead of discussing my tier list(feel free to do it if you want to), why not post your own add-on tier list for the killer you like the most?

Should be fun :)

His add ons that make it so you move faster while stalking are not worth it, there are add ons that allow you to stalk faster, and one that makes it so you get super fast stalking when stalking your obsession, there are add ons that increase your duration of tier 3 but make it take longer to stalk, those are good but I'd never use them over faster stalking, there are add ons that will reveal Survivor auras after you stalk them for a few seconds, cool. Scratched Mirror makes you stay in tier 1 but you can see auras and get bp for it, Vanity Mirror makes you stay in tier 2 but you can see auras of survivors within 16 meters while stalking and can bp for hits. Tombstone add ons are like a built in mori but not worth it.

I like the one that let you see their auras after stalking for a second... it's like the spanish inquisition, no one expects it XD

    Amanda

    S- Best add-ons

    Video Tape

    Medical File

    Last Will

    Combat Straps

A- Honestly everything after the above kind of sucks

    N/A

    B- Good but really unreliable

    Tampered timer

    Crate of gears

    Bags of gears

    Jigsaw sketch

    Jigsaw annotated plans

C- Not only situational but weak

    Amanda's letter

D- Outside of one niche build I have no reason why you would want to run any of these

    Slow-release toxin

    Face mask

    Rusty attachments

    Utility blades

F- Relies on the survivors to mess up super easy skill checks even with unnerving presence they're not hard to hit

    Razor wire

    Workshop Grease

    Interlocking razors

FF- Literally no reason to run this perk not even for the memes

    Amanda's secret

I disagree, passive phasing is great because it can really mess up survivors perception and sometimes they run right at you lol

For Hag, her best add-ons are "reduced trap setting speed", "Increased TP distance" and the higher tier "Increased Phantasm duration". Her rare and very rare add-ons are basically all gimmicks and either require you playing her significantly different to gain the benefits, combo it with another specific add-on or are just plain terrible.

    TL;DR: Rework water-logged shoe.

Legion because I'm a dirty Julie main apparently. : P

My tiers: (My opinions, but I try to be honest about this. I'm biased in favor of Fuming Mixtape, but even I know that Iri button is better)

    A Tier:

    1. Iridescent Button: Not only does it give you the ability to break pallets but you can cause survivors to panic if you frenzy randomly. It can also give you the ability to see all survivors across the map, which can inform you of how to act. Legion is an information killer, every piece counts. The only thing is that because of the map wide TR, DW will not work because of the interference of this addon.
    2. Ruler addons: both are really good for obvious reasons. Getting frenzy back is insanely good, especially with Fuming mixtape, you can use it to move around the map faster.
    3. Green Sketchbook: This can determine whether you can actually get to another target or if you can only focus on the one you just stabbed.

    B Tier:

    1. Fuming Mixtape: While it is an ultra rare, it's not nearly as good as the ones in A tier purely because it doesn't give any other bonuses. While reading auras of gens is good, and knowing their progress is better, it's not like wraith's since they can only be in frenzy for a limited time. It's main use is to use frenzy as transportation instead of saving it for getting survivors.
    2. Mural Sketch/Mischief list: Both are decent ones. They essentially do the same thing, increase distance. However, they feel interchangeable to each other, while Green Sketchbook definitely feels like an upgrade.
    3. Filthy Blade: Wasting time with mending is useful. Not always however.

    C Tier:

    1. Nasty Blade: Slightly less time mending than with Filthy, but still ok.
    2. Detection Range addons: while you may not be able to reach the other survivors, knowing where they are can be very useful for Legion.

    D Tier:

    1. Cooldown addons: All of them are terrible. When Legion's cooldown was 3 seconds, it might be worth it to bring cold dirt, but now it's from 4-3 with that, and the others are worse.
    2. Legion Pins: These wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to stab them twice to get the effects.

    F Tier:

    1. Frank's Mixtape: Ever since the changes to Legion's basekit, this one is absolute trash.
    2. Stab Wounds Study: Ever since the aforementioned changes to Legion's basekit, this one is wasted since nobody ever goes down to DW... especially since you can't have DW go down in Legion's TR...

@Volfawott Pretty damn accurate on the Pig ones.

Guess I'll do my new main then, Plague:

    S - Absolute game changers.

Black Incense - You see everyone, ALL THE TIME. Survivors who like crying about everything are seriously sleeping on this one.

Iridescent Seal - Survivors are never expecting you to suddenly become corrupt while they're 2 meters from you and possibly just broke. Some serious potential in this one. Also encourages cleansing since there's no advantage not to. Downside is movement slow while corrupt but can be negated with the Worship Tablet. Also out of your control when it triggers, but it's not like it disables normal corruption.

A - Strong in every match.

Incensed Oil/Potent Tincture/Healing Salve - Purge cooldown is incredible. It lessens the movement slow duration after you puke, as well as allowing you to act more quickly. If you land a purge that breaks the survivor, these add ons can be the difference between one or more loops, or an instant down following it.

Ashen Apple/Blessed Apple - Starting with a corrupt pool is strong. If you activate it when all survivors are broken it can lead to a lot of cleansing that changes how the whole match goes.

Vile Emetic/Infected Emetic/Emetic Potion - Purge effectiveness breaks survivors faster. With no add ons a single, uninterrupted purge can break a survivor, but with any of these even a dodging survivor is likely to break from one or two pukes. Makes things more efficient.

B - Good, but wasted bloodpoints if survivors don't cleanse.

Worship Tablet/Prayer Tablet Fragment - Movement speed while corrupt, can either counter the ultra rares downside, or turn you into a ######### missile when you get corrupt.

Devotee's Amulet/Exorcism Amulet/Prophylactic Amulet - Increase corrupt duration. Straightforward, good, depressing waste of points if nobody cleanses.

    C - It's alright.

Olibanum Essence - Movespeed while charging. Pretty decent effect, but only "slightly." Best paired with cooldown add ons or the ground gained isn't much.

    D - Bloodweb fodder.

Severed Toe - Faster infection gain from interactions. Only really affects people that are sick but not broken, so basically just those who unhook people if you're thorough. Too passive for my liking and too likely to do ######### all.

Hematite Seal/Limestone Seal - Increase infection time on objects. It's nice, it MIGHT keep someone off a gen for a couple of seconds, but it's really not worth an add on slot to do so.

    F - Actively a hindrance.

Rubbing Oil - Charge speed. While it can be handy on full charge vomits, this one feels rough to use after you've played a fair bit of Plague, as the minimum duration vomit goes way up. You can't quickly sneeze on a gen, or shoot that last little bit to break someone, or launch a spit to snipe down a survivor with corrupt like a beast. Instead it locks you into a full second or so of vomiting with the minimum charge.

Even if ppl have a hate wave on spirit I still dare to make one it! :D

The movementspeed addons like the green shoes are way to overrated, you are fast enough in phasewalk so they are not that necussary. Power recharge addons are on of the best on spirit because the only big downside of spirit is her cooldown on the phasewalk.

Wakizashi Saya (the purple stick addon) is one of the strongest addons on her, I never see that addon on other sprits but if you are a good spirit and you know how to use this addon properly, you will get alot of kills that you never could do without it. However the green version of it "Katana tsuba" is way to weak because the numbers of the increase movementspeed are compared to the purple version way to low. And the last addon that is on A tier are the durotation addons, with that you can phasewalk longer and further over the map for more map pressure or to catch a survivor who is in a further distance.

    Here's what I personally think of Freddy's add-ons.

Red Paint Brush and Red Swing Chains are without doubt the two best add-ons you can have for Freddy. Especially with a Forever Freddy build, you can grind the game to a screeching halt.

The other two add-ons I chose for S rank, which are the Pill Bottle and the Paint Thinner, is mainly what I use if I want to play as Dream Pallets Freddy. Which is always fun no matter what the result of the game is. There's nothing more satisfying than slashing a survivor through a fake pallet.

Well, maybe stunning a phasing Spirit, but you get the point.

As for A rank, The Jumprope and Outdoor Rope add-ons makes for some good slow down, especially if you also bring Red Paint Brush. But I usually only use these if I no longer have any Swing Chains left in my inventory. It's a good substitute, but nowhere near as good as Swing Chains.

Blue Dress is nice for a mini BBQ and Chili for every missed skill checks survivors do in the Dream World, works well with Paint Brush, but it's nothing too special in my opinion, I don't think I noticed much of a difference between a missed skill check with the Blue Dress Add-on and without it.

As for Nancy's Masterpiece, it's great if I want to teleport to the other side of the map a moment after the game started to check on something like a Hex totem, but otherwise I prefer to play without it if I have better add-ons.

Prototype Claws are the same as Paint Thinner but slightly worse. Which is why it's in A.

I don't need to explain Green Dress, same reasons as Blue Dress but worse.

Black Box is basically just what I use if I have a Mori daily for Freddy and I need to use Rancor because I have no mori offerings. It's not a good Ultra Rare in my opinion, but it's good enough for it to guarantee success of one of the most annoying dailies in the game in my opinion.

Sketch, Rake. Same reason as Masterpiece and Thinner, but much worse.

Class Photo is just terrible, Survivors will run away if the gen is spewing out blood anyways, whether or not Freddy will be on it. And it's not that good for applying pressure since most survivors I meet when I run this add-on just stick to the gens regardless if I am actually teleporting to it or not.

Wool Shirt is Blue Dress but much worse.

As for Block Add-ons, I'm sorry but I really can't find much use for them. It doesn't help with chases and it doesn't help with preventing gens from being done too quickly. I think all of them are worthless.

And any add-on that gives me "extra bloodpoints" for a nerf to my powers is just automatically terrible for me, except for Jumpscare Myers of course.
