Why downed survivors lie under hook with a camping killer?
You tried to saved someone, got caught, left on the ground. It can happen sometimes. What I don't understand why they crawl under the hook preventing others unhooking, or you know not crawl away where killer can't camp both of you?
That's happening a lot lately, so I wondered is there any new trend that I don't know of.

Cuz it's warm and cozy under the hook.
Jk ... Hmm my guess is a lot of times they have unbreakable so they will unhook with BT.

Inexperience thinking they are caught and the killer is going to hook them or not realising they are making camping viable.
It could also be swf wanting the killer to camp so they can finish gens so they sont feel they have to stop and save and can also proc adrenaline.
It depends on the whole circumstances. 5 gens left it's kinda pointless if the survivor on hook will go into stage 2. 1 or 2 and all are still alive it could be beneficial.

Maybe. It was always in a different circumstances so couldn't make sense of it. They seem to prevent killer picking them up, but I didn't see the point of that in any of the games.

They should be crawling away and forcing the killer to commit to one or the other.

Because it is cold on the ground! So they go under the hook to share the person on the hooks body heat!

Because they're a bot with no real brain stem and they even forget to hold the Sprint button while they are down so that way when you go for an unhook you heal them instead of unhooking and die, PSA: if you're down near the hook for some reason please use the Sprint button to cancel healing prompts when a teammate is trying to unhook, that is all

Either they don't know any better or they're using something like Unbreakable. 99% of the time it's because they don't know any better.

Did this against a camping Leatherface, I used Unbreakable to get up, he hit my friend on hook and did his tantrum, I unhooked with Borrowed Time and got out of there with Dead Hard, made a great save.

I've seen it with many killers, but yes Leatherface was one of them.
That sounds like a great save indeed. But most of the situations I saw, they just chill there, don't even bother to recover. Must be the cozy atmosphere of entity :)

The soils that the Enitity lays out is quite welcoming and comfortable, nostalgic if you ask me.

the only good reason is to Unbreakable + BT. Otherwise, they completely are sabotaging the game.
