Killer mains: what do you do when a survivor farms another

I've been getting farmed A LOT as of recent. Farming in this case being getting unhooked infront of the killer, or a survivor in a chase comes and unhooks me hoping the killer will attack tunnel. blendettes are practically another killer for me at this point since its always them that do this.

But as a killer when you see this happen what do you do? Do you take the free rehook, do you punish the farmer, or a mix of both?

On the rare occasions i play killer i immedietly go after the farmer because its bothers me as a survivor, but no shame for a free kill!

(I am a bit petty as a survivor and if i do live through getting farmed i refuse to work with the surv that farmed me.)

It's not my job to be nice to a survivor because their teammate totally screwed them over. If I were in that situation my anger would be fixated on my teammate and what the killer decides to do is their own choice.

Often survivors get away with this type of thing, or assume they will, because they assume the survivor will have BT and not even waste a swing on them, but sometimes you will, or sometimes you'll get the 2 hits you need.

Me personally? I'll just slug the survivor that was farmed on the ground, hook the other guy, and go and find one of the other two survivors. That at least is as fair as I can be and it spares them a death hook. Again, that isn't in my best interest - what's in my best interest is hooking both survivors and proxying them both.

Hit the unhooked, so the person doesn't get the points.

Chase the unhooker until he's on the hook.

That's the usual M.O. at least.

If someone farms me, I just play normally. But if he is the only guy on hook and the gates are open, I just leave.

I get you there! I personally don't blame the killer either, though i do appriciate the small mercys haha. Very pragmatic way of dealing with it!

It's a bit more complicated to notice sometimes.

For example, when I play with my friends, I will sometimes unhook my friend right before he goes to struggle of the sacrifice even if the killer is close. This is because the killer will end up wasting time re-downing and re-hooking my friend and the end result will be the same (struggle phase). That is not farming per se, and I've encountered many survivors who do this because it is the optimal play.

Assuming, however, that the survivor is sandbagging their team and clearly farming them for points or WGLF stacks. I will tunnel the farmer and possibly farm points with the rest of the team (assuming they want to).

Call me vengeful, but I think purposely and selfishly making other people's experience unfun and frustrating should be punished as severely as possible, to deter them from doing it again.

If I'm using stbfl I get as many tokens as I can and hook the farmer.

Honestly depends on my mood if I'm having a good day and I see this I'll Mori the crap out of the surv that farmed that hooked surv

But later if I cross u again ur down for the takings

If someone unhooks someone in my face, I'll down the unhooker first, then to go for the first guy to deny "safe rescue" points. If they have borrowed time, i let them go and go for the downed guy, if not, I'll hook them both (starting with the farmer)

Its not my business to let survivors escape, and i try to punish those who farm by denying them their points and wglf stack. Ultimately though, im not gonna ignore an easy target because of "fairness"

I slug the person that was unhooked and chase down the farmer. I will not just rehook the one who got farmed. The only exception would be if they were toxic to me.

    Depends.

Scenario 1: A survivor unhooks another survivor while in a chase, but the hooked survivor is about to end his hook state - I will play it as I normally would. I will hit the unhooked survivor first to prevent him from doing gens. Either I process BT or down him, I’ll probably then ignore him and chase the rescuer.

Scenario 2: A survivor unhooks another survivor I JUST hooked right in front of me, without giving him BT - and that’s what I call farming. In this case I will definitely tunnel the farming guy until he dies because he’s going around ruining the game for his teammates so I don’t see why I shouldn’t ruin his.

    1. Hit the rescuer during the unhooking animation
    2. Down the unhooked when my cooldown is done and leave them slugged
    3. Go after and down>hook the rescuer

This is usually the system i go by with alterations depending on the circumstances, by far the best thing as a killer for me is when an already injured survivor that ive been chasing goes genius mode and thinks "Instead of looping the killer lets unhook someone" and goes out of their way to run to a hooked survivor, when i see this happening i let them as it make things easier for me in the long run.

From a killer main, thank you potato survivors.
