Dear friends and loved ones
We are gathered here today to remember a killer who could keep survivors in check. No longer will anything be able to beat good survivors (bad survivors will still lose to her, god rest their souls) crying to the devs works, so we as the assembled killer mains should use this strategy until more survivor crutches are nerfed. And now we, for the second time, lay our dear friend to rest. Rest in peace.

She's really far from dead. She's still the same Nurse you knew, but now you just have to wait a fraction of a second before blinking again. It's barely noticeable. Plus, Spirit, Hillbilly, Plague, Freddy, and Ghost Face all still exist. All very strong killers.

People who are good with Nurse won't be affected by the changes (Nurse mains) only people trying to learn her will suffer.She's definitely not bad she's still very good and if you are with her then you can make her work.

You will always be remembered, Sally, as that killer that somehow was the most OP killer in the game, yet it took them 3 years to nerf you into oblivion and make you Legion, while everyone tries to say you're still "totally not #########" because you can blink through stuff.

Equip the blink recharge add-ons and the good ol' Nurse will be the same as always. Destroying survivors and ignoring game mechanics.
So what is the end result of this "rework"?
Survivors will not get any more counterplay than before (with recharge add-ons), and still be frustrated by the top Nurse players who killed them with base Nurse anyway.
Nurse mains will be bored because now they HAVE to run the recharge add-ons to do well with her, so there will be no variety and her new add-ons will only be seen in meme builds by content creators.
So basically, all the base kit rework is doing is making playing as Nurse less fun for killers, since now she needs the add-ons to be played as before. Survivors will still get destroyed by good nurses, that won't change.
I think they did a pretty good job so far.

Not that I have a dog in this race--you can call that cowardly, if you like--but I don't understand the admonishment that the change is "barely noticeable". If it's not noticeable, what change was ultimately made?
If they wanted to add a Blink charge, one would think the way to go would be removing fatigue completely and upping the individual charge time.

Wasn't the only play testing done on dedicated servers? Servers that are #########. Maybe calm down and see how it plays not on dedicated servers before having the pity party.

She definitely will be missed. I still hold out hope in my heart that her (completely unnecessary) base-kit nerf doesn't go live.

Yeah, they'll adapt by USING the recharge add-ons. They are consistently the strongest ones you can use after the rework.
This is not about adapting, there's no "adapting" to not being able to use your blinks right away while moving as slow as the nurse. It just makes you a weaker killer in most chases.

If it was still 2016 and survivors had everything in their favor I would agree, but it's 2019 and killers have been getting fairly good treatment nowadays. The only things that need fixed nowadays are certain killers that need buffs and maps. Maybe something in the way of doing something about SWF as well. The devs certainly do not hate killers. Otherwise I'm pretty sure 2019 dbd would look a lot like 2016 dbd if they actually did hate killers.

Just using the recharge add ons exclusively isn't adapting, it's living in denial.
People adapt to nerfs all the time, in this game and in any other, they play despite them and in this case can use the new benefits of different add ons to play Nurse in entirely new ways.
Yes, a nerf makes something weaker, but good players aren't going to suddenly suck at Nurse because of this minor change.

Good job devs. You got soooo much feedback on Nurse, so much things to change but also to revert, community was agreeing that only the addons needed a change, content creators made videos about nurse showing how braindead easy it is to outrun nurse now and STILL! And still you pushed the new nurse out without changing anything else. These are the moments and actions of bhvr when I just lose my words.
