BHVR, why are you disrespecting us?
Survivors complain about nurse with omegablink or 3+ blinks are overpowered. Nurse mains agree. BHVR nerfed the addons AND her basekit.
People give feedback about the basekit changes being overkill in the PTB etc. What does BHVR? Nerfed her basekit even more (takes longer to get your blinks back) and the 2 addons which made nurse nearly basekit got nerfed aswell.
Killers complained about insta heals being overpowered, especially in swf with multiple insta heals. A lot of survivors agreed. What does BHVR? A change that satisfied every killer (literally noone saw them as op anymore) but Survivors said it's not worth the rarity anymore. What's the next logical step of BHVR??? Riiiiight, nerf it even more even tho killer mains were fine with that just to piss of survivors.
Like, what is this disconnection to the community? This is so disrespectful. We gave you soooo much feedback and you guys were like "meh, even tho you made hundreds of posts about that, we don't care. You guys have no clue what you want and what is good for you."
PTB is just a joke at this point. Are we a joke to you, BHVR?

I think the changes were on point

I think the changes to base nurse were not needed. Syringe on 8 sec felt okay. No idea why they got more nerfs.
18 -
Nerfing Insta heals were fine they shouldn't have touched my dayum medkits!
1 -
that's their problem with nerfing their first version is fine then they just make it even worse
2 -
Its nerf or nothing
7 -
You realize they definitely don't just go to the forums for feedback
1 -
That isn’t them disrespecting us.
6 -
If we were a joke to them, they wouldn't put their way of making money on us.

The syringe is not worth using anymore (in chases) 16sec is just to longer and hard to pull off when the killer is right up your ass or if you’re being tunneled off hook. You have to have great distances while in a chase or have multiple pallets to throw down to stall which is wasting a pallet that you could loop. The fact that it stops working if you go down is BS the time should still keep going Great for combating slugging and if you’re picked up you timer is paused until you get unhook. If you have adrenaline it should stay paused until you’re back in the injured state

There is a difference between fixing something correctly or completely go overkill on something. How you gonna explain that they don't listen to our PTB feedback?
0 -
What else is it then? If they tell us to give feedback and the community spends a huge amount if time creating posts, giving feedback, discuss also gives better ideas and at the end the devs are NOT ADRESSING ANYTHING then tell me please what else it is.
1 -
They’ve been listening to feedback for a while, MoM, DS, Nurse, pallet vacuum, legion, bnp and insta-heals all nerfed and they’ve continuously made the grind easier.
They listen to feedback.
2 -
You high?
1 -
They nerfed insta heals a little to hard. Theyre practically useless now
0 -
Im sure they do
1 -
If they didn’t then the game would basically still be 2016 dbd.
1 -
Current feedback is to nerf Spirit. Devs have listen and now changes are coming.
1 -
Personally I absolutely love the new medkit changes. Especially the emergency medkit, which makes me running Pharmacy and Self Care feel somewhat useful in a pinch.
2 -
Are we a joke to you, BHVR?
Yes

I feel devs listen to feedback in a very broad sense. If people complain about something for long enough, it'll get changed.
The problem I think OP has (and I also share) is about feedback on specific changes and their values, not the changes themselves.
BHVR has shown good instinct on initial changes and nerfs for the most part, I just don't understand the necessity to further nerf thing that felt properly nerfed in the first place, especially when they get tons of feedback saying so, for the live build.

Keep in mind Billy is their gold standard for game balance.
Devs listen to feedback for one purpose: to know where to start looking. It's rare they take the community's advice on how to actually go about improving QoL and gameplay though.

You spelled Legion wrong.
2 -
I'd prefer not to misquote matt_bhvr when talking about the game, much less talk about a pointy barbershop quartet whose power encourages sharper divides between BM and regular gaming.
0 -
Who are you calling pointy!
😡
0 -
nurse is still a strong killer, its not a free 4k anymore
0 -
It wasn't before either? Have you ever played against base nurse to say that it was a free 4k makes me doubt it.
5 -
You haven't answered my question tho. What else id it if not a disrespect towards the community?
0 -
pretty much every nurse who knew what they were doing.
0 -
Sure go tell your stories to some other kids, they might believe them.
0 -
If you look at the changes objectively, most of them are pretty reasonable.
0 -
i bet pro streamers tells storie too lmao i'll wait you to come cry on the forums again for your fotm killer being slightly changed

I think from the first couple replies in this thread alone, you can see that it's a mixed reaction. Everyone is going to have a different take on different changes, and while we try to make everyone happy as much as possible, sometimes there going to be a change you disagree with. It's not a personal attack on you, we aren't doing it to disrespect you.
Regarding the instaheals changes, this is an example of not just balancing based on popular demand. While there weren't loads of threads about it, we could see experienced players using them just as effectively as before. Rather than instantly healing, you would just vault a window, use the syringe, then continue looping as normal. It had the same end result, lasting 8 seconds was not hard.

"pro streamers" there are no pro streamers in dbd, might come as a shock to you but there are no pro players either. Your fotm killer? I am a survivor main, sorry that I don't need ez wins handed to me like you do.
Games against nurses with basekit were the best ever.

put it like that, every consistent rank 1 killer like truetalent and such is fine with her changes. You cant even take into account the shift into the meta with instaheals nerf and more killer becoming viable. Thats why probably you dont even know that freddy and ghostface are actually strong killers.
0 -
cheer up randy, maybe start playing some other games
0 -
You should stop assuming.
Your logic is flawed to say it politely, putting a killer in the dumpster does not buff other killers.
3 -
The forums are not a design committee.
The general perception of the PTB should look something like this: If it's there, it's happening. There might be minor tweaks here and there, but if it's come far enough along that it has hit the PTB, that IS the design direction, and it's probably not changing.
The Nurse changes were a foregone conclusion as soon as the PTB went live, and nothing was going to cause them to reverse course on what probably amounted to weeks of work.

dumpster cause rank 15 killers said its trash? well then im happy they dont balance the game based on randoms

I have disagree about the insta heals. The primary use that seemed to upset the killer community was taken away with the passive heal. The main problem with the insta heals was somebody with a needle canceling the chase that the killer just won. I get you guys can't make everyone happy. But it feels like BHVR goes all or nothing when nerfing things.

There absolutely are pro-streamers for DBD. People who make a decent amount of money streaming DBD are Pro Streamers. There's a few of them.
Pro Players, there aren't any, but pro streamers there definitely are.
0 -
Okay I have another definition of pro streamer, pro player that actually streams like rapha for quake. I don't deny that there are streamers for dbd that earn enough to make it their living.
They do. Remember? Goofing around with friends. Just when it comes to killers we need to have a real good look at 0.1% of the community.

Trying to change the narrative after the fact and then claiming you were disrespected isn't cool.
Many people thought nurse basekit should have been changed. Many people thought the initial insta-heal change wasn't harsh enough. These rational people were listened to. That doesn't mean you were disrespected.
Bringing all of the broken/op aspects of the game as close to the ideal balance center is the goal. Keeping all the broken/op stuff in the game just because people spent time with it or stockpiled a lot of it is not good decision making. Bravo to the devs.
If making the right decision is disrespectful, I'll take another serving of disrespect please. It goes well with all the nurse main tears.
1 -
Honestly DBD is developed in a echo chamber as shown by the idea of balance and the changes they keep on doing. Nurses base kit was fine it was her add on's but no bhvr includes a boring power bar for some reason...
1 -
Mostly because you see "I am right, no other opinion matters, the devs are therefore disrespecting me!" Where the devs see the other side of the feedback that says "Great job, take Nurse down a few pegs, you don't deserve to win every game just for playing a difficult killer."
They aren't "disrespecting" anyone, they just aren't taking your opinion over everyone else's.
