Since you get 1 Rift Fragment every 800XP...

And you gain around 300xp per game? You can say that you can get 1 Rift fragment every 3 games. You need 10 rift fragments to levelup a tier. And there are 70 tiers. So that's 30 games per tier, times 70, for a total of 2100 games.

Theoretically, if you could play 2,100 games in 69 days, would that mean you can finish the rift without completing a single challenge?

Correct. But dont forget to take into consideration the daily bonus (300 XP for both sides). Thats an extra 42k XP total.

Theoretically speaking, yeah. It's definitely faster with the challenges, at 5 per challenge. Also, it means your time isn't wasted on challenges, as even if you fail, you're still progressing the rift.

If you count 12 minutes on average per game, and then an additional 3 minutes in queues, load screens etc, you would need about 8 hours of game time per day to complete it.

I don’t know if 300xp per game sounds right though

Completing challenges will make it easier but yeah it takes forever to get 1 Fragment, I'm halfway done with the first Tome and I'm at Tier 13 but I started at 9 because I had progress from the PTB.

It's going to take a while but because each Tome is I think 2 weeks apart from each other I think the timing is just enough for us to get enough Frags before the next Tome and the Tomes will act as a booster.

Well I dunno if it is really 300xp per game either. Let me check in my next game how much a "typical" game gives me.

Typical game for me is about 500

Hmm, well I just did a hatch escape game and I got exactly 599XP and 33k BP (with 3 Pustula Gens done - base BP was 24k). So I am guessing a typical killer game that wasn't steamrolled and a good survivor game with an escape gets around 500-600xp.

Bad survivor games where you died quickly probably get around 100-200xp, I'll check again in my next bad game.

So it seems you can level up in 2 games -- if you get 3 good games in a row (around 2400xp) you can probably get 2 rift fragments. So it is actually looking better and easier to just brute force the Rift.

The actual tasks you can do are there to help, each task is 5 rift frags so that cut outs like 3 games worth of work if you can do it.

I think a typical survivor game still nets around 300xp -- one where you did stuff but ultimately died. While a typical killer game probably nets around 500xp.

Looking at the timestamp of my last post and the current time it took aroudn 20 minutes to earn that 600xp.

So converting the math to XP:

    800xp / frag x 10 frags = 8000xp per level.

It takes roughly 20 minutes to get 600xp. So that means around 266 minutes per level (or about 4 hours per level).

So just a guestimate, you can probably raise a tier every 4 hours just playing the game.

People who are just getting the free stuff only really need up to level 47 to get 60 Putrid Serum. So that's about 188 hours of play.

Minus all the tasks you manage to do. For the record I started the rift at level 13 when the patch hit and I'm at level 21 right now after completing all survivor tasks. That was I think 2 weeks worth of XP from just playing normally when they announced the delay to the patch. I think I gain around 13 levels every two weeks from being an addict.

I think I can hit level 47 just playing normally at this rate. Got more than 2 months to do it so I can relax.

I have no intention of buying the premium pass so I'm not really concerned with getting to level 70. I'll just pick up my 2 hallowed blight outfits and call it a day.

Seems even if you had a disastrously bad Survivor game you still get around 300xp. Just finished a game with Trapper where not a gen was completed and we all screwed up and got hit by traps trying to save Francis in the basement. We all got slugged in under 4 minutes and after I died on hook I still got 300xp.

Not bad for around 5 minutes of work.

As long as you don't insta-die I think you will get around 300xp. this is not a bad way to level up your Rift.

Yeah, just run it and Alt-Tab and do something else. I'd imagine this is a good way to game the system to finish the rift.

I’m pretty sure you can’t get made XP for being in a game then 10 minutes

You get XP for each second in a game. I think it caps at 10 minutes

Some challenges are a LOT harder than others
