When you get enough hours in the game... it's not horror anymore... you need something to freshen it up... most survivors aren't scared of the killers because they are weak and you loop them.

I would have been ok with that. It looks better with the bandages than his actual mask, plus it makes more sense, as he wouldn't have stolen a mask yet anyway. I'm guessing the main reason they didn't do it was because some people wouldn't recognize it was Myers. The other reason may be because the Halloween chapter is based on the 1978 film, so I'm not sure if they could manage to get the rights to the other films, but hopefully they can. I'd love to see various film versions of Myers added, especially a proper Halloween 4 Myers in coveralls and mask. Speaking of gowns, if they could get the rights to do it, why not add Laurie's hospital gown from Halloween 2 (1981)?

Yeah would look really cool and very scary.
The Licensed holder aren't making a great decision on this one. That head piece would double their sells, doesn't matter if you couldn't recognize him or not people would easily find out who he is. They shouldn't be so strict and let the dev's have more cosmetics from the movie's.

When I wear the gown I try to use the Lery's offering.
Makes it feel more authentic.
But what isn't authentic is EW1 BEING ABLE TO BE DETECTED BY SPINE CHILL.

ah yes, good catch! And he did have pants so the only time I believe he was shown in a gown is the beginning of the original. I think he was in something similar in the Rob Zombie remake too (similar to the 2018).
Yeah, the gown was just an odd choice, especially when they then have to address the issue of what he has under it.
It just seems off, then doubly so when he is in the gown with his mask. Every movie he gets some.clothes before he gets the mask.

Yup aside from the mask in gown which is minor. Though the comparison isn't fair, as the gown was 2-3 frames and ashy slashy was a full episode or two.

While I absolutely agree with most of what you say in this post, those examples (except Ash) are based on BHVR's own characters. They can make them juggle squirrels and spit rainbows if they want to.
The licensed characters are based of (fairly popular) horror characters. You could easily argue that there is "lore" and "canon" established for some of these characters (even as ridiculous as Halloween 5 and Curse of MM are)!
Anyway, it is just a cosmetic and hopefully nobody will actually spend real $ on it. Given the options for MM cosmetics (as few as there are) this just seems like a ridiculous choice...but maybe it was all they could get approved for.
