How New Tinkerer Feels, a Survivor Perspective

I feel that way if Tinkerer bugs out the killer's terror radius for the entire match. I generally use Premonition, so Tinkerer doesn't bother me as much as Bitter Murmur.

I think I saw my Stake Out progress even though I couldn't hear the killer's terror radius, but I may have just been on the very edge of it. Needs testing. Hope it stays as a feature / buff to Stake Out, if it does still work against Tinkerer.

I find the new Tinker to be very fun, but as far as terror radius goes it only really works on maps where your vision is completely obscured by a wall. With that being said Hill Billy on Haddon field managed to scare the crap out of me twice in one match.

New Tinkerer isn't bad, minus all the people who are exploiting the bug. I played against a handful of hillbillies who thought it was hilllllarrrrious to play Tinkerer 2 and then just slug everyone in the match as soon as one generator was started. Yeah that's really fun, being slugged on the ground in a minute because you're basically exploiting a broken system. A+.

Like survivors don't exploit enough for wins? Just sayin lol

Survivors and killers should not be exploiting. Doesn't make it right because someone else does it. I too have had a map with a tinkerer 2 Billy but because I knew about the yet-to-be-fixed bug I was able to look out for him. My teammates didn't catch on so quick rank 15.

Tinkerer 2 actually makes it a scary game.
Sometimes when I am bored after the 3rd easy escape in a row, I turn off sound and listen to music instead. I prefer playing against tinkerer 2 though because then you can hear the other sound effects

What is the difference between Tinkerer 2 and 3?

Tinkerer 2 is bugged. Sometimes it doesn't restore the TR after the first gen is done, so the killer has no heartbeat for the remainder of the match.

    Oh please.

Of course there are some survivors who exploit BUGS for wins, but the number of people I ran into exploiting the tinkerer BUG for kicks and giggles was incredibly discouraging.

If you're comparing that to "looping" or "gen rush" or "bringing in a flashlight" or even "SWF" (all mechanics that are put in the game by the developers even if you don't like them) then that's not a great way to view the game play.

I believe CallMeRusty420 was referring to exploits such as Dead Hard jumps and the infamous Pale Rose put trap.

Ah, fair enough. If that's the case I feel the same way about those that I do about this-- people who exploit them are scummy. If you know something is broken and game breaking, don't use it, on both sides.

You said it all for me with that paragraph. Killers now have 1 exploit to use and yall are complaining like the end of the world and you just labeled 2 exploits that you survs have had for the longest time and the devs just seem to procrastinate on and yet I hear they're thinking of adding in a passive kindred ability for the survivors.

I mean, those aren't exploits though. Those are mechanics put in by the devs intentionally. Are they well balanced all the time? No. Are they boring at best and really unfair at worst? A lot of times, yeah.

    But it's not cheating.

Now OTHER survivor things people mentioned above me that I was unaware existed, those suck. Survivors who use those also suck. Cheating sucks. That's the main point I'm trying to make.

I don't see the dead hard jumps that often and what is the Pale Roe put trap? I don't really watch the live streams or see that enough to know what it is.

This information is for educational purposes only, mind you. The Pale Rose pit trap is an exploit involing the drop-off on the second floor of the boat and a survivor. If a survivor stands at the correct section of the fall's landing then the killer can become trapped. This is due to the fact that the killer cannot hit survivors directly underneath themselves. It's a nightmare to deal with as it strips ALL power from the killer. If you want videos of it try searching "Ochido Hillbilly Pale Rose". That should get you into the ballpark.

looping was unintended belive it or not. It was a side (unpredicted by the devs) effect of the 2016 august patch that made planks completely safe. And the colision boxes of the survivors getting smaller too.

    Well that is unfortunate then.

I'm honestly not even pro looping. It's boring on both sides. But I think there's a lack of many other chase dynamic options to use successfully instead. Maybe it would be good if they finally fixed that then and introduced something better.

Honestly guys just because survivors have exploited the game horrendously doesn't give you grounds to be just as bad. Killers like Hannibal expect class from their peers its pathetic that this bug hasn't been fixed yet but irregardless I'm avoiding tinkerer perk until its fixed.

Tinkerer I and III are fine, only the middle one is bugged. (Not sure why a Pig would need Tinkerer though.)
